The Smith & Wesson 639 is a traditional double-action 9x19mm caliber pistol. Stainless steel version of the all steel Smith & Wesson 539 and alloyed frame Smith & Wesson 439. Eight shot magazine, 4 inch barrel. Manufactured with both adjustable rear sights and fixed-sight. Early production models manufactured with rounded trigger guard. Squared trigger guard on later production models.
