The prop was composed of an custom shroud built around a Taurus PT99AF. This handgun was subsequently reused in television series filmed in British Columbia, Canada. This particular customized weapon was even more modified slightly at the front end for the film Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and this version was reused in the series Almost Human.
