Mob City is a 2013 crime series created by Frank Darabont and focuses on the conflict between the mob and the LAPD that started in the late 1940s. The series was based on the novel L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America's Most Seductive City by John Buntin and premiered in the US on the TNT network on December 4, 2013.

Colt Detective Special
What appears to be snub nose Colt Detective Special revolvers are used by mobsters and LAPD officers in the series.
Colt Police Positive
What appears to be Colt Police Positive revolvers are used throughout the series.
Smith & Wesson M&P revolver
Smith & Wesson Model M&P revolvers appear to be carried by LAPD officers during a shootout in 1927. The revolvers are used with suppressors in "Red Light" (S1E03).
Smith & Wesson M&P (Nickel Snub)
Detective Joe Teague (Jon Bernthal) carries what appears to be a nickel snub Smith & Wesson M&P revolver as his sidearm.
Smith & Wesson M&P snub revolver
Snub-nosed Smith & Wesson M&P revolvers are used by both LAPD and gangsters.

The M1911A1 is wielded by gangsters in the series.

Joe Teague keeps an M1 Carbine in the trunk of his police car. He first is seen taking it out in "A Guy Walks Into a Bar" (S1E01). Note that this is a period correct M1, lacking the bayonet lug (which was not added until the Korean War).
