Le Français ("The French") series of semi-automatic pistols was designed and produced by Manufacture Française d’Armes et de Cycles de Saint-Étienne (MAS, later known as Manufrance). The first model, "Pocket" pistol in 6.35mm Browning (.25 ACP) caliber, appeared in 1914. The "Policeman" model with elongated barrel was produced in 1922-1968. The "Le Français Armée" pistol in 9mm Browning Long was designed in 1928 but French army refused to put it into service. The last pistol of Le Français series was a new pocket pistol in 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP) caliber which was manufactured in 1950-1965.
