I find it curious that in a movie about a heavily British nationalist government, there isn't a single British manufactured weapon in the entire film. We've got Italian, German, and Austrian weapons in the hands of most agents and the occasional American gun. Maybe this is just a detail too expensive to implement. | I find it curious that in a movie about a heavily British nationalist government, there isn't a single British manufactured weapon in the entire film. What would you have them use? The only real British 'assault' weapons any more are the Enfield SA-80, even then its been over-hauled by Heckler and Koch, and the L7 GPMG, which is essentially a FN Mag. Shame there are no Sniper Rifles as Accuracy-International make some good weapons. The only other things I can think that we still make are a selection of hunting rifles and shotguns. Don't Colt Pythons all have a vented rib over the barrel?--156.26.12.72 16:35, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
I've looked everywhere on the net and no one seems to have noticed that the scene which uses the 686 is inaccurate in regards to the mechanics of that weapon. The camera shows the gun lining up on an empty chamber and firing. Am I missing something here?
- Ever seen Lord or War, just after the intro from Nicolas Cage? It's almost the same thing, except the camera is on the tip of the bullet (with the exception of when it is on an actual empty chamber).--Gunkatas 03:04, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
The Reverends Gold Gun
Was watching this movie again, and I realized that the gun the reverend used (the guy that Evey is sent to as a prostitute) wasn't in here. It looks like the gun Michael Shanks used in Burn Notice (that's the actors name, the character's name is Victor). Anyone confirm? --Gunkatas 23:55, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Correction, it's a Berretta Jetfire with gold plating. Can clearly see the Berretta logo. Can anyone get a screenshot? --Gunkatas 03:01, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Done, but for the record it doesn't look like a Jetfire to me. Crazycrankle 19:08, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Doesn't look like a Jetfire. The trigger guard is different, and the one in the movie doesn't appear to have a hammer or the hinge on the front of the slide. Plus, it looks like it has a grip safety. It doesn't have the Jetfire's horned backstrap, either. Try comparing it to a Beretta Model 1919 [1]. I believe you'll find it to be a much closer match.
Just an anon. user's two cents.--141.165.142.42 22:13, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, looks almost identical to me. Minus the movies customization of course. Crazycrankle 22:29, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
USP pic
Mine does not offer any greater detailing than the other, but it will probably look better on the actor and Main Page.
Alternatively, we could put both in the article. --Milkovich 21:04, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
- I don't see a problem with putting them both on the page, myself. Your pic may not have any more detail but it is a good close-up shot. Good job on getting a pic of the 'army' soldiers with the Mossberg 590s. StanTheMan 00:37, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
British Weapons
I find it curious that in a movie about a heavily British nationalist government, there isn't a single British manufactured weapon in the entire film. We've got Italian, German, and Austrian weapons in the hands of most agents and the occasional American gun. Maybe this is just a detail too expensive to implement.

V's Armor
Maybe I'm being too particular on this, but what kind of armor is V wearing that allows him to endure that much firepower and then do his knife acrobatics? That is some awesome kevlar. Where can I get some of that? --Qtrain 19:56, 4 December 2012 (EST)
- That wasn't kevlar, it was a solid steel breastplate. - User: 2wingo
- The truth is that he the armor he was using would not have been able to withstand the shots he took. 80+ 9mm from the officers and 12 .357 magnum from Creedy.
- No matter the armor, his insides would be mush -User: MrPickles

S&W 686
In the shot where Creedy is dumping the shells, it shows only six chambers. Doesn't the 686 hold 7? --2ndChoiceName (talk) 15:21, 10 March 2013 (EDT)
- From the 686's page: "Capacity: 6 or 7-round cylinder". So it's still correct. The Wierd It (talk) 18:55, 10 March 2013 (EDT)
