Kandahar Break is a 2009 British war film set in Afghanistan pre-9/11. Richard (Shaun Dooley), a British engineer, is part of a company contracted by the Taliban government for mine clearance. When he falls in love with his interpreter, he runs afoul of the corrupt police chief (Rasheed Naz) and tries to escape over the border to Pakistan.
