'''Lino Ventura''' was an Italian actor who starred in French movies. Born  14 July 1919 as Angiolino Giuseppe Pasquale Ventura in Parma, Italy. He arrived in France at the age of 7 years. Forcibly incorporated into the Italian army during World War II, but deserted because he was newly married. He has worked various occupations, and finally started to professional sports match in freestyle. In 1950 he won the European Championships in Lausanne, European Champion in the middle weight. Due to a foot injury but had to leave the sport and became the manager of games. Director Jacques Becker in the movie needed someone who speaks French and Italian, and Lina remembered his friend from youth, who had started working at filmu. Lino thrown into the role of the type and the casting was a very convincing performance, so he offered the part. But he did not want to play in the film. In order to give him room, he thought absurdly high fee for one million francs, which originally was to get one hundred tisíc.Linův natural but dramatic appearance with Becker so popular that he really gave them a fee and so in his thirty-four years he became an actor and played right alongside [[Jean Gabin]].
