Gunpowder Milkshake is a 2021 American neo-noir action film directed by Navot Papushado and stars Karen Gillan as Samantha, an assassin who took up the trade after her mother Scarlet (Lena Headey), who also was an assassin who abandoned her. After a job gone wrong, she reunites with her estranged mother and takes shelter with a group of gun-dealing librarians. The film was released both theatrically and on the streaming service Netflix on July 14, 2021.
The following weapons were used in the film Gunpowder Milkshake:
Scarlet (Lena Headey) receives a Walther PP hidden in a book at the film's beginning and promptly puts it to use. She is later seen with it when Sam comes to her apartment, but does not bring it to the final battle.
SIG-Sauer P226
Samantha uses a pair of suppressed SIG-Sauer P226s during the opening hit, later trading them in to the librarians for clean weapons. Shocker (David Burnell IV), one of the "Boneheads" sent after Sam, also uses a pair of P226s, possibly the same props with the suppressors removed.
CZ 100
Sam (Karen Gillan) receives a CZ 100 hidden in A Room of One's Own from the librarians and uses it on her mission to retrieve some stolen money. She is forced to abandon the weapon at the bowling alley.
Glock 19
Sam retrieves a Glock 19 from the underground clinic's "cookie jar" when she returns from rescuing Emily (Chloe Coleman). Later, her arms disabled by a paralytic, she has Emily tape it into her hand and uses it to fight the Boneheads.
Browning BDM
"Dracula" (Joshua Grothe), the leader of the masked gang that kidnapped Emily, carries a Browning BDM.
M1911A1
Scarlett receives a pair of custom M1911-style pistols which she uses in the final battle. The pistols have a stainless steel finish, pearl grips, and a dragon design. They also have underbarrel mounts for pistol bayonets, which continue the dragon theme.
SIG-Sauer P938 Equinox
While fighting in the library, Sam throws a copy of The Way of the Superior Woman at an opponent, revealing a SIG-Sauer P938 Equinox.
Walther P99AS
During a lull in the fighting, Scarlett hands Sam a pair of Walther P99AS pistols hidden inside copies of Woman Who Run With Wolves and Awaken The Giant Within, as well as some extra magazines ("How to Win Friends and Influence People"). Sam then uses the pistols until they run dry.
Nathan (Paul Giamatti), Samantha's boss at the Firm, is seen surrendering a Smith & Wesson Model 38 revolver to the waitress when he meets with Samantha at the diner.
Smith & Wesson Model 686P
One of the weapons Sam turns in at the library is what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 686P, prompting Florence to label her a "sentimental, romantic type". Crow (Jack Bandeira), the last of the "Boneheads" also uses a similar weapon in the clinic shootout.
Submachine Guns
M1921 Thompson
"Werewolf" (Lee Huang) is seen with some model of M1921 Thompson submachine gun during the hostage exchange. The only distinguishing features visible are the vertical foregrip and Cutts Compensator, suggesting it is a M1921 or 1928 model.
Brügger & Thomet MP9
"Frankenstein" (Hannes Pastor) uses a Brügger & Thomet MP9 as he attempts to eliminate the other kidnappers for more money
CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1
A CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1 is carried by one of the gunman in the parking garage shootout
Unknown SMG
Multiple gunman in the parking garage scene use some variety of submachine gun. The weapons have wire collapsible stocks, very short barrels, and fire from an open bolt. Another one of these is seen during the library shootout.
Florence (Michelle Yeoh) uses a M16A1 fitted with Magpul PMAG during the library fight.
Heckler & Koch PSG-1
Samantha uses a Heckler & Koch PSG-1 to threaten Nathan into leaving them alone.
Winchester Model 1892 "Mare's Leg"
Anna May holds a Mare's Leg on Scarlett when she returns to the library. Later, Scarlett uses the pistol during the diner shootout.
Other
DM51 Hand Grenade
"Frankenstein" carries a bandolier of DM51 hand grenades. He attempts to throw one after his MP9 runs dry, but is shot and drops it, destroying the money.
