Extraction (previously known as Dhaka ) is a 2020 Netflix original action thriller starring Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a Black Ops mercenary who is tasked with the extraction of the son of an Indian crime lord from the hands of his rival. The film was adapted from the graphic novel "Ciudad" by Ande Parks and was produced by the Russo Brothers , directors of Avengers: Endgame in addition to the screenplay being written by Joe Russo. The film was directed by Sam Hargrave , who was the stunt coordinator for several films within the MCU , and premiered on Netflix on April 24, 2020. Not to be confused with the 2015 DTV action film that stars Kellan Lutz and Bruce Willis . The film was followed by the 2023 Netflix sequel, Extraction 2 .

Daniel Defense M4A1
Rake also uses a Daniel Defense M4A1 with a suppressor and a Leupold HAMR in the final shootout, although in a continuity error it is briefly replaced with a BCM rifle with a KMR handguard, possibly the BCM CQB-11 in a few shots. In the opening scene, which is a flash-forward to the finale, the "M4A1" and "5.56" white laser markings on the left side of the receiver are clearly visible when Rake reloads the weapon. The weapon has been retrofitted with an LMT SOPMOD stock instead of the factory Daniel Defense stock.
