'''William Forsythe''' (born 7 June 1955) is an American actor. He is best known for his portrayal of tough-guy, criminal characters, and has starred in films such as ''[[Once_Upon_A_Time_In_America|Once Upon a Time in America]]'' (1984), ''[[Raising Arizona]]'' (1987), ''[[Dick Tracy]]'' (1990), and ''[[Gotti]]'' (1996); as real-life mobster "Sammy The Bull" Gravano. He played a renegade soldier in the Neo-western action thriller ''[[Extreme Prejudice]]'' (1987), and Sheriff John Quincey Wydell in the black comedy horror ''[[The Devil's Rejects]]'' (2005).
William co-starred with [[Steven Seagal]] in ''[[Out for Justice]]'' (1991). In 1995's action thriller ''Beyond Desire'', he starred as the ex-con Ray "Elvis" Patterson beside [[Kari Wührer]]. In ''[[The Rock]]'' (1996), Forsythe portrayed FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Ernest Paxton, dealing with protagonist John Patrick Mason ([[Sean Connery]]).
William Forsythe portrayed serial killer John Wayne Gacy in ''Dear Mr. Gacy'', a film adaptation of the book ''The Last Victim'', the memoirs of Jason Moss, a college student who corresponded with Gacy his last year on death row.
He has also played recurring characters in television series such as ''[[Boardwalk Empire]]'' (2010) and ''[[The Man in the High Castle]]'' (2015).
