Latest revision as of 19:38, 25 September 2020

1. The name of the main character of Boris Polevoy's novel and the film is Meresyev, slightly different from the name of the real person. 2. The German radioman's holster seems to be empty: note how flat is the top of the holster. 3. The Mauser rifle on the second screenshot in 98k section has a straight bolt handle, so it's not a 98k - may be Czech vz.24 or some other Mauser short rifle. 4. The destroyed artillery piece is a Pak 40. 5. Second, third and fifth screenshots in Tank section show a BA-64 armoured car. Fourth screenshot shows a half-track APC. --Greg-Z (talk) 14:56, 25 September 2020 (EDT)

And here is an info about the planes in the movie. --Greg-Z (talk) 14:59, 25 September 2020 (EDT)
A great thanks! I had corrected the page. About the surname of the main hero: certanly, I had read the Polevoy's novel, but I'm not sure about the better variant: real man was Maresyev, but this movie uses Meresyev, so, I'm not sure. Pyramid Silent (talk) 15:13, 25 September 2020 (EDT)
I would use the name as it is credited in the novel and movie with a note about the real person. --Greg-Z (talk) 15:38, 25 September 2020 (EDT)
