Anyone else noticed that it really seems like the folks who picked and designed the weapons are different from those that wrote the descriptions? Most notably somehow thinking that the Bizon's magazine is a UBGL despite the fact that the game properly treats it as a magazine in gameplay, and the "AK-M"'s description describing an actual AKM, despite the fact that the "AK-M" is NOT just an actual AKM. In fact the "AK-47" is. Keep that in mind when writing descriptions for weapons: that the in-game description may be vague, misleading, or just fully wrong, and not to trust it.--[[User:U7355608|U7355608]] ([[User talk:U7355608|talk]]) 14:24, 18 February 2022 (EST)

Andddd here we are. Far Cry 6. Hopefully this means that the ending of Far Cry 5 and the events of New Dawn are quietly brushed away as non-canon. I pretend the ending of FC5 and the events of New Dawn are my deputy's nightmares, anyway.
: It's intentionally not made entirely clear. We know that all of Far Cry 5's story leading up to the ending's is canon, and we know that "The Collapse" (Joseph detonating the nuke) is non-canon, as is the entirety of New Dawn, as that just takes place in the aftermath of the collapse. Thus, we don't know if the driving away "Only you" ending is canon, and if so, what happened, or perhaps if Joseph did capture the Dep, and was just bluffing about the nuke, or if none of them happened at all, and Joseph's supposed death at the compound assault is actually him dying, perhaps the entire events after that, in which the dep is captured is just bliss hallucinations? The main takeaway, past all the theorizing is just an emphatic "Nukes were not detonated. Anyhow, only guns we got a good look at so far are the FAL (sweet!) and the DShK. Soldiers can be seen with some vaguely 7.62mm AK, but I haven't put it down yet because we haven't had a good enough look for an ID. Also, anyone know what tanks those are? So since the game is inspired by Cuba could be guns used by Cuban army in game? My bet is that AKM will be standard enemy rifle, SKS (maybe using bayonet features from New Dawn), PM63 or vz.61 used by snipers or riot soldiers, PKM again, SVD again.
