Mile 22 is a 2018 action film directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg as James Silva, an operative with the Ground Branch of the CIA's secretive Special Activities Division who must escort an informant (Iko Uwais) 22 miles from the American embassy to the airport in a hostile Southeast Asian country. The cast includes John Malkovich, Ronda Rousey, and Lauren Cohan. The film marks the fourth collaboration between director Berg and star Wahlberg, who previously worked together on the 2013's Lone Survivor and the 2016 films Deepwater Horizon and Patriots Day. Mile 22 was released to theaters on August 17, 2018.
