The film's cast includes Rene Russo, Cuba Gooding Jr., Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland and Morgan Freeman.

Beretta 92FS
US military personnel including Major Salt (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and Brigadier General Billy Ford (Morgan Freeman) as well as numerous Army soldiers carry and use the Beretta 92FS standing in for the M9.
Colt M1911A1
Lieutenant Colonel Briggs (Dale Dye) carries a M1911A1 inside a Bianchi M12 holster with chest harness.
Colt MKIV Series 70
In some scenes, LTC Briggs (Dale Dye) appears to carry in his holster a Colt MKIV Series 70 instead of the M1911A1.
Glock 17
The depot guard carries what appears to be a Glock 17 pistol.
Rifles
Colt M16A1 with A2 Style Handguards
The US troops who go into the town appear to be armed with M16A2s, but in reality these rifles are M16A1s with A2 Style Handguards.
MGC M16 Replicas
Upon closer examination, some of the M16A2 rifles carried by the US troops were MGC M16 replica rifles that were fitted with M16A2 handguards and "birdcage" flash hiders to make them look like M16A2s.
Colt XM177E2
Some troops carry an XM177E2 thought most of them appear to be the later version plastic MGC Colt Commando (replica copy of the XM177-E2) that was sold just prior to the rise in popularity of Airsoft versions.
Colt Model 733
Some of the soldiers carry Colt Model 733s.
Colt Model 653
One of the soldiers arriving with Brigadier General Ford (Morgan Freeman) carries a Colt Model 653 carbine.
British L1A1 SLR
A European (mostly likely British) mercenary is seen firing an British L1A1 SLR (Self Loading Rifle) at the beginning of the film (note the foresight ears and the barrel on the rifle). An African soldier is also seen using one.
FN FAL 50.00
A number of African soldiers are seen armed with regular FN FAL 50.00 rifles at the film's beginning.

Some mercenaries are seen using M2 Carbines.

One of the three civilians that try to escape from Cider Creek opens fire on a Huey gunship with a Remington 7600.
