Blowing Wild is a 1953 American-Mexican adventure movie directed by Hugo Fregonese and starring Gary Cooper, Barbara Stanwyck and Anthony Quinn.
The following weapons were used in the film Blowing Wild:
Handguns
Merwin & Hulbert Army Frontier 3rd Model
Jeff Dawson's (Gary Cooper) handgun is a Merwin & Hulbert Army Frontier 3rd Model revolver with pearl grips. Due to a continuity error, it switches to Colt Official Police during the final shootout.
Colt Official Police
Paco Conway (Anthony Quinn) carries a Colt Official Police while on his oil rig. In the final scene Jeff Dawson's (Gary Cooper) Smith & Wesson switches to Colt OP in a continuity error.
Unidentified revolver
El Gavilan (Juan Garcia) carries an unidentified nickel plated revolver. It resembles Smith & Wesson top-break revolvers.
Various revolvers
Various characters carry revolvers that are seen only in holsters.
M1911A1
Paco Conway (Anthony Quinn) draws an M1911A1 pistol when Dutch Peterson (Ward Bond) tries to mug him. M1911s are also seen in holsters of local policemen.
Submachine Guns
M1921A Thompson
A M1921A Thompson with drum magazine is seen among El Gavilan's weapons. It isn't used in action.
Rifles
M1936 Mexican Mauser
M1936 Mexican Mauser rifles are widely used by El Gavilan's bandits, police and Conway's workers.
Mauser M1895 Carbine
When Jeff Dawson (Gary Cooper) and Dutch Peterson (Ward Bond) deliver nitroglycerin, Jackson (Ian MacDonald) gives them a Mauser carbine that appears to be a Mexican M1895 model.
Springfield M1903
Original Springfield M1903 rifles are seen in hands of local police. During the chase of the bandits after the truck Dutch's Mauser M95 Carbine switches to an M1903 in a continuity error.
Springfield M1903 Training Rifle
What appears to be a training version of M1903 is used during the final close combat between Jeff and El Gavilan.
Machine Guns
Browning M1919A2
During the final shootout local policemen use a Browning M1919A2 machine gun. A2 model is identified by the relatively short barrel with slotted shroud.
Mendoza RM2
In the same scene a policeman fires a Mendoza RM2 light machine gun.
