Patriots Day is a 2016 crime drama directed by Peter Berg and follows the events before and after the terrorist bombing of the Boston Marathon in 2013. The film's cast includes Mark Wahlberg, J.K. Simmons, John Goodman, Kevin Bacon and Michelle Monaghan. The film also marks the third collaboration between Berg and Wahlberg that was based on real events, following 2013's Lone Survivor and 2016's Deepwater Horizon.
