Redemption is a direct to video 2002 action movie directed by Art Camacho. LAPD Detective John Sato Collins (Don "The Dragon" Wilson) is ignominiously dismissed from service after an operation under his command fails, and the members of his team blame him for this. Being in desperate need in money, Collins gets a job from a mob boss Tony Leggio (Chris Penn) who is in feud with Asian gang, lead by ruthless Joey Lam (Eddie Mui).
The following weapons were used in the film Redemption (2002):
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 49
Tara (Carrie Stevens) owns a Smith & Wesson Model 49 revolver.
Taurus Model 689
In the final scene one of Lam's thugs holds a stainless steel Taurus Model 689 with 6" barrel.
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
Beretta 92FS pistols are most widely seen handguns. They are used by the members of special unit, police officers and detectives, including Chief Phillips (Randy Brooks), and criminals, including Joey Lam (Eddie Mui), his thugs, and Tony Leggio's lieutenant Nick (Richard Beattie).
Taurus PT92
A Taurus PT92 is used by John Collins (Don "The Dragon" Wilson) in the final scene.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5SD
In the final scene one of Lam's thugs is armed with a Heckler & Koch MP5SD.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
During the night shootout in port one of Lam's thugs is armed with a Heckler & Koch MP5K.
Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW
Tom Sasso (Richard Norton) and several other officers are armed with Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDWs in the final scene. Due to continuity error Tom's MP5K switches to M16A2 later in the same scene.
Shotguns
SPAS-12
A SPAS-12 is used by one of Lam's thugs in several scenes.
Sniper Rifles
Unidentified rifle
A sniper rifle is used by a sniper during the night shootout in port. It is possibly some version of M14, fitted with a pistol grip.
Assault Rifles
M16A2
Both members of special unit and Lam's thugs use M16A2 assault rifles.
M16 Carbine
M16 carbines with fixed stock are also seen in hands of both members of special unit and Lam's thugs. AR-15A2 Sporter Lightweight looks similar to screen guns.
M16 Compact Carbine
In several scenes members of the special unit, including John Collins (Don "The Dragon" Wilson), carry M16 carbines with A1-receivers and the barrels cut down to about 10". Some of them retain carrying handle while others are fitted with sighting devices.
Other Weapons
Rocket Launcher 1
In the final scene one of Lam's thugs carries a rocket launcher. It bears some resemblance with M136 AT4.
Rocket Launcher 2
When the abovementioned character appears from the building, he holds a different launcher that has a Panzerschreck-style blast shield. When the thug fires, the weapon switches to the first model.
