McQ is a 1974 American made police crime drama. The first police drama set in the modern era that John Wayne ever made. After turning down Dirty Harry Wayne witnessed the movie go onto enjoy unexpected box-office success. As a result Wayne would make two modern police dramas back to back. McQ was first followed by Brannigan (1975). In addition to Wayne "McQ" also starred Eddie Albert, Clu Gulager, Al Lettieri, Roger E. Mosley and Colleen Dewhurst.
