Hamilton has a US Navy Special Warfare badge (aka, the "Budweiser") on his SDBs (or whatever the Swedish equivalent is called) in Commander Hamilton, but it's missing on the poster of this film. I'm not sure what the Royal Swedish Navy policy on wearing foreign badges is, but the Budweiser is really sticks out due to its size. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:25, 15 December 2013 (EST) | Hamilton has a US Navy Special Warfare badge (aka, the "Budweiser") on his SDBs (or whatever the Swedish equivalent is called) in Commander Hamilton, but it's missing on the poster of this film. :The copy I had was an English dub as well, unfortunately. It did sound like they got the actual stars to dub their own dialogue at least. I'm aware that it's established canon that Hamilton did pass the BUD/S course and is entitled to wear the badge, I was just wondering why it didn't show up in the poster of the new film. Great job, I saw both movies some time ago and I remember thinking its a shame they don't have a page, as they are quite good action flicks, with lots of guns. I guess its that they aren't realy popularized outside of sweeden, with mostly unknown cast members. My theory on the missing trident is simply that the visual team wanted a completely black suit to look cool, they probably added the ribbon bar to not look completely civilian, in general those people in most cases don't care about the movie, most posters are just to draw in the audiences. --Iceman (talk) 13:29, 16 December 2013 (EST)

The SSG badge is the old insignia for the Swedish Särskilda Skyddsgruppen ("Special Protection Group"), which would have been our equivalent to the direct action element of Delta or 22 SAS. ==Colt Model 933?==
Having seen the movie myself just recently, I took the liberty to add RPG-7 & AKMS and revised all mentions of ‘Pakistani’ to ‘Afghani’ (verified the latter with the DVD subtitles). In addition, there’s one rifle where I would appreciate help for identification. Below rifle is mentioned as M4A1 carbine, but to me the barrel length seems more indicative of the Colt Model 933, what do you guys think? -- PeeWee055 (talk) 13:17, 21 December 2013 (EST)

Something I noticed
Hamilton has a US Navy Special Warfare badge (aka, the "Budweiser") on his SDBs (or whatever the Swedish equivalent is called) in Commander Hamilton, but it's missing on the poster of this film. I'm not sure what the Royal Swedish Navy policy on wearing foreign badges is, but the Budweiser is really sticks out due to its size. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:25, 15 December 2013 (EST)
Its due to the book (I don't know if the author researched it) in the books Hamilton is BUD's graduate, trough exchange program, have never read the books myself have never found an english translation over here, and I don't like to read russian translations, watched the movie in russian though, I think he had the trident, but it was scaled down unlike the old TV mini series (first pic), anyway these films are pretty good, if only there was an english dub --Iceman (talk) 11:27, 16 December 2013 (EST)
