Unidentified Guns

Unlike with 20 Million Miles to Earth and its heavy usage of WWII-era American weapons, where I was, somewhat rightfully, told I had little excuse for not being able to identify them on my own, here I must really defer to the experts as I know nothing about Japanese weapons of the 1960's (although I suppose I could look at You Only Live Twice). Again I'm just providing screenshots for identification purposes. - Kooshmeister

Shindo's Gun

Looks like a FN model 1910 or is newer version the Browning Model 1955

The FN 1910 has an external extractor, where the movie gun has an internal one (or I can't see it). The pic we have of the Model 1955 is the opposite side. But I don't think they would switch to an internal extractor for a newer model. --Predator20 21:52, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

How about this gun: --Warejaws 14:00, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Definitely not. The MAB's grips are wrong. THe grip screw placement is that of a 1910 or 1955.--PistolJunkie 20:05, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Malmess' Gun

Malmess (Hisaya Ito) uses this nickel automatic with a slim black silencer in the shootout at the clinic. It is only seen in long shots.

Other Guns

Each of the other three assassins abetting Malmess has their own handgun. The one in the white suit has what looks like a Luger. The black-suited killer's weapon is never clearly shown, but the short, light-blue-suited man's gun is seen in a few good shots.

Japanese Weapons in film

During the final shootout in the gorge, the wounded Malmess uses a rifle with a large scope and a wooden stock to shoot at Shindo and the Princess.

Can't say what this rifle. That weird mini suppressor on the end is the japanese cinema's version of ISS's non gun (aka a flashpaper gun). Ever notice how Japanese gun flashes look "magenta" in color? with a government that is ridiculously strict on firearms ownership (even movie productions can't get them), the Japanese have had weird NON guns for DECADES.
