The RGO and RGN (also known as 7G22 and 7G21 by GRAU index) are Soviet/Russian hand grenades, respectively, anti-personnel defensive and offensive. They were developed in the GNPP "Bazalt" design bureau, by S. Korshunov and V. Kuzmin in the late 1970s. In 1981, the RGO and RGN were introduced into service. However, they were never able to replace the RGD-5 and F-1 due to an overabundance of already available grenades, and RGO/RGN are mainly used by special forces.
