The Great Gatsby is the 1974 American feature film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name. The film stars Robert Redford as the title character, with Mia Farrow, Bruce Dern, Sam Waterston, Lois Chiles, Karen Black, and Scott Wilson. The film won the only two Academy Awards it was nominated for, Best Costume Design and Best Music, Scoring Original Song Score and/or Adaptation.
This was the third of four feature adaptations of Fitzgerald's novel, the latest being a 2013 film directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
