Discussion

Notes on splitting the Bulgarian models

Rather than splitting its models according to clearly visible things like caliber, barrel length, or stock design, it seems that the Bulgarians decided that they every tiny furniture switch equates to a new numbered model. Due to the combination of the amount of models, the minor degree of variation between the models, and the poor documentation available on the internet, I feel like we need some reliable written source on these guns before we can properly document them and split them into individual sections. "Eyeballing it" is just too unreliable in my opinion.

As for a source, I feel like the super-comprehensive The Kalashnikov Encyclopedia by Drs. Cor Roodhorst should contain all the information we need on the Arsenal AR models, though I'm not sure if any of us here own the books. --Wuzh (talk) 08:51, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
