Seven Dials Mystery is a 1981 British television adaptation of Agatha Christie's 1929 novel of the same name. This was the second Agatha Christie novel adapted by London Weekend Television following 1980's Why Didn't They Ask Evans?. Both share actors John Gielgud and James Warwick, but they play different characters.
The following weapons were used in the film Seven Dials Mystery:
Colt M1911
Jimmy Thesiger (James Warwick) has his butler buy him an automatic pistol, which turns out to be a Colt M1911. (Apparently that's all it took back in the day.) He names his pistol "Leopold" and refers to it as a "blue-nosed automatic." Superintendent Battle (Harry Andrews) refers to it as a "Colt Automatic."
1914 Mauser Pocket Pistol
Sir Oswald Coote (Leslie Sands) finds a fired 1914 Mauser Pocket Pistol on the lawn. Superintendent Battle refers to it as a "Mauser 7.65."
Webley Mk V
Rupert "Pongo" Bateman (James Griffiths) confronts Jimmy armed with a Webley Mk V.
