SL8

I'm pretty sure it's an SL8 going by the thumbhole stock, but that could be a future-ish addition to a regular G36. --Joffeloff (talk) 09:26, 20 December 2015 (EST)

Based on the double stack magazine well (Canadian filmed?) and short rail, I would call these SL8-4s. --commando552 (talk) 11:27, 20 December 2015 (EST)

Unidentified rifle

I have no idea what this bullpup rifle is based on, if anything. It seems odd to me that they would build a prop from scratch and make it so.. conventional.. so following logic it is probably a dressed-up bullpup rifle of some sort. But which? It reminds me most of a Tavor, but if it is one, it is quite heavily dressed up. --Joffeloff (talk) 09:26, 20 December 2015 (EST)

Considering that The Expanse series (the books atleast) are fairly realistic, i wouldn't say it's so strange that they made the weapon look rather conventional (although there's doesn't appear to be any type of sight on it, unless that orange thing is the sight) Anyhow, parts of it kinds reminds me an SA80--AnActualAK47 (talk) 10:15, 20 December 2015 (EST)
This is an airsoft rifle called a APS UAR:

These were previously used in another SyFy series that I can't remember the name of and doesn't have a page on here yet. As this isn't a real gun, I will make a section for it on the Air Guns page. --commando552 (talk) 11:24, 20 December 2015 (EST)
Used in both Dark Matter and Killjoys.Temp89 (talk)
That reminds me, I have the last couple of episodes of Killjoys sitting on my computer waiting to be capped. Where I am up to though, (episode 7) I didn't notice any, are they in one of the later episodes or did I miss it?--commando552 (talk) 12:14, 20 December 2015 (EST)
They're mostly background props compared to the Tavors whilst in Dark Matter they're used more often.Temp89 (talk)

Lots of random guns here, I'm not going to bother since (spoilers, heh) the ship they were on was blown up along with the character in the first episode. --Joffeloff (talk) 09:26, 20 December 2015 (EST)

Even if they are one-offs they should be included on the main page, as they still appeared in the show. As for what they are, the bottom revolver is a Colt Python, the pistol in the middle is an Umarex blank fire replcia of a Walther P88C, not sure about the top revolver though. As for the longs, one on the left is a double barrelled coach gun, other two are lever actions. My guess would be Winchester Model 1873 saddle ring carbines. --commando552 (talk) 11:41, 20 December 2015 (EST)

bullet velocity

While this is from the second book, i might as well ask here. In that book, in the very beginning when Bob and her crew gets owned by that protowhatever thing, she says something about firing her AR with rounds going something around 1000 m/s. I always thought that was kinda strange since there's nothing special about that velocity, especially since they're on one of Mars moons where there's no air and the gravity pull isn't as strong. Shouldn't those rounds go faster?--AnActualAK47 (talk) 10:12, 20 December 2015 (EST)

It was Ganymede, a moon of Jupiter. Gravity and drag have very little to do with initial muzzle velocity.--signal11

Thomas Jane?

Is this the new series starring former Punisher Thomas Jane?. And, if so, is it any good? --Warejaws (talk) 11:39, 20 December 2015 (EST)

While i haven't watched the show, the first book is really good so i hope this is too, then again, the first trailer looked kinda meh, and it also had Avasarala in it for some reason.--AnActualAK47 (talk) 12:15, 20 December 2015 (EST)
I watched the first episode, but didn't care for it. Spartan198 (talk) 04:50, 20 February 2016 (EST)
On the other hand, I think this show absolutely amazing. A must watch in my book. 10/10. --PyramidHead (talk) 14:58, 20 February 2016 (EST)
How similar is it to the first book? Avasarala (i think that's how you spell it) is in this season, but she wasn't in the first book, so it seems like they're doing something different from, well, the books.--AnActualAK47 (talk) 15:07, 20 February 2016 (EST)

Miller's Revolver

Here's some shots of Detective Miller's sidearm that he loots after the hotel lobby scene. I think a Rhino? Some more sure than I feel free to add to the article.

Calvin235 (talk) 22:40, 21 February 2016 (EST)

Yeah, pretty sure its the Rino. And are those Kriss Vectors seen during the hotel lobby shootout?--Mandolin (talk) 22:33, 21 February 2016 (EST)

MCRN(?) sidearms used by Holden's crew

Holden and crew seem to use similar sidearms, maybe ones they raided from the Rocinante (formerly MCRN Tachi) armory?

Calvin235 (talk) 22:49, 21 February 2016 (EST)

These look like the XD(M)s already mentioned on the page. Might as well add the screens. I didn't even realize those were XDs when I first watched the show. --PyramidHead (talk) 00:17, 22 February 2016 (EST)

Antagonists' weapons

Does anyone have a shot of the weapons that are used by the mystery antagonists? They have at least two weapons, one is a grenade launcher which looks like some kind of standalone launcher ( bit like a B&T but it isn't one) with an additional FN EGLM mounted upside down on top of it, whilst the other is seen only very briefly when they board the MCRN capital ship, but it looks like some kind of mocked up energy weapon or taser type thing. --commando552 (talk) 06:03, 22 February 2016 (EST)

I'm not sure but I think that this rifle (along with the pistols they use which are just this without a stock) are heavily modified and dressed up Mapgul FPGs Airsoft guns.--commando552 (talk) 11:49, 22 February 2016 (EST)
