Talk:The Count of Monte-Cristo (1975)
(Redirected from Talk:Count of Monte-Cristo, The (1975))
That carbine could be another mocked up Beretta 412 look at the nub in front of the trigger guard.
Sorry for the large image, it's a bit tough to see with the usual 500px. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 08:13, 29 June 2022 (EDT)
- I can see it now, thanks! My poor eyesight and small old monitor result in missing such details :((( Well, looks like Beretta 412 based mockups were quite common in 70s. --Greg-Z (talk) 08:18, 29 June 2022 (EDT)
- It could be a cross producer/armorer deal with the 412s, if you can dig up information on the producers and the armorers they hired and just see what they worked together on you'd have a very easy reference point in terms of weapons identification. I don't know if the forums you use to get these older movies have already done that but it's worth asking if they did. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 08:25, 29 June 2022 (EDT)
- Alas, armorers were nearly never indicated in the credits in the films of that time, and IMDb don't list them. When it comes to more modern movies, at least 1980s, this really helps, but not in this case. The forum where I participated in the discussion of screen guns is now almost inactive, and there is no one to consult. I plan to look again through the pages of films with unspecified flintlock or percussion cap muskets to see if any of these guns may also turn out to be Beretta 412 under disguise.--Greg-Z (talk) 11:45, 29 June 2022 (EDT)
