The Skull Man (2007)

The Skull Man is an anime television series based on the 1970 manga of the same name by Shotaro Ishinomori. The show consists of 13 animated episodes and one live-action prequel episode (Episode 00) titled "Skullman: Prologue of Darkness".

Handguns

Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer

The Skull Man's weapon of choice is a Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer as denoted by the selector switch on the side of the frame. He only uses the semi-auto setting and never switches to full-auto, and uses the shorter 10-round box magazines.

Nambu 14

The Ōtomo City Police Department makes frequent use military surplus Type 100 submachine guns.

MP40

By far the most prolific submachine gun in the series is the MP40. Whenever members of the White Bell cult arm themselves, it is almost always with this weapon.

During a flashback to (presumably) the Vietnam War, two American G.I.s can be seen with M16A1 rifles.

Howa Type 64

The solders sent to quarantine Ōtomo City near the end of the series are armed with Howa Type 64 rifles. As the series is set in the 1980s, this would still be the standard-issue rifle for the Japanese military.

Double Barreled Shotgun

Two separate but similar double barreled shotguns are seen in the series. The first is used by an assassin posing as The Skull Man, and has had both its stock and barrels sawed off. The second is part of Gōzō Kuroshio's personal collection, and appears to be unaltered.
