The Sicilian Connection (Pizza Connection)
|
The Sicilian Connection (original title Pizza Connection) is a 1985 Italian crime thriller directed by Damiano Damiani. Mario Vialone (Michele Placido) is a mafia hitman on a mission to assassinate a general attorney of Palermo. His younger brother Michele is in dire need of a large sum of money as he wants to release a girl he loves from prostitution and have to redeem her. When Michele asks Mario for a loan, the elder brother suggests the young man to be his assistant in dirty business, and Michele has to agree.
The following weapons were used in the film The Sicilian Connection (Pizza Connection):
Revolvers
Ruger Security Six
In one scene Mario Vialone (Michele Placido) gives a snub nose stainless steel Ruger Security Six to Michele Vialone (Mark Chase).
Colt Police Positive
In the final scene in New York a pair of killers use Colt revolvers, most likely Colt Police Positive.
Pistols
SIG P210
A SIG P210 is Mario Vialone's (Michele Placido) personal handgun.
Walther PPK
Mario Vialone (Michele Placido) uses a suppressed Walther PPK to murder a rival criminal.
Beretta M1951
Nicola Schiro (Francesco Sciacca) uses a Beretta M1951 pistol to kill a fishmonger in one scene. A Beretta M1951 is also seen in hands of the general attorney's bodyguard Mancuso (uncredited).
Beretta M1934
In one scene a pimp Vincenzo (Tony Sperandeo) is seen with a Beretta M1934 pistol.
Submachine Guns
Beretta M12
Beretta M12 submachine guns are used by the general attorney's bodyguards and by police.
Sten Mk V (visually modified to resemble AK-47)
Mario Vialone (Michele Placido) plans to use AK-47 to assassinate the general attorney. It appears to be mockup, possibly based on the receiver of Sten Mk V SMG. The magazine housing of Sten can be rotated (originally in order to keep clear the ejection port) so it allows to attach the magazine from below.
Other Weapons
Bazooka (mockup)
Mario's henchmen use two bazooka launchers to destroy the armored car of the general attorney. The bazooka appear to be mockups, designed after M20 "Super Bazooka". When "firing", they don't produce any fire, only thick clouds of while smoke.
