The Secret of Two Oceans (Tayna dvukh okeanov) is a Soviet 1957 (filmed in 1955-1956) two-part science fiction adventure movie directed by Konstantine Pipinashvili and loosely based on the same title novel by Grigori Adamov. Soviet brand new submarine Pioneer, equpped with jet engine and ultrasonic weapons, makes its maiden voyage from Baltic Sea to Pacific Ocean. It turns out that one of the crewmembers is a foreigh spy and saboteur whose mission is to destroy the submarine by pointing homing torpedoes from a fully automatic base on a uninhabited Pacific island. But all attempts of the spy are in vain, and Pioneer successfully finishes its voyage, discovering the mystery of recent wreck of Soviet cargo ship that became the victim of the said torpedo base.

The following weapons were used in the film The Secret of Two Oceans (Tayna dvukh okeanov):

Pistols

Tokarev TT-33

In the opening scene Starshina (chief petty officer) Andrey Skvoreshnya (Igor Vladimirov) takes a TT-33 when leaving his room. TT is also used by Lt. Kartsev (Pavel Luspekaev) when he arrests Matvey Ivashyov (Mikhail Gluzskiy) in hotel. In one scene on the submarine TT is seen in hands of Capt. 2nd Rank Pyotr Druzhinin (Pyotr Sobolevsky); it switches from Walther PP (see below) due to a continuity error.

Steyr M1912

During the attempt to arrest spies Matvey Ivashyov (Mikhail Gluzskiy) and Nikolay Gorelov (Sergei Golovanov) the latter draws Steyr M1912 pistol. A Steyr is also seen in hands of Lt. Kartsev (Pavel Luspekaev) in the same scene instead of his service TT-33 due to a continuity error. In the scene on the submarine when Starshina Andrey Skvoreshnya (Igor Vladimirov) is erroneously arrested, he is disarmed from Steyr pistol that again appears instead of previously seen TT.
