Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (original Italian title Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma, another English release title Pasolini's 120 Days of Sodom), is a 1975 Italian-French movie directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini. The film is a loose adaptation of the book The 120 Days of Sodom by the Marquis de Sade, and the story is set in the time of the Italian Fascist Republic of Salò, existed in 1943–1945. The film was extremely controversial due to its intensely graphic violence and sexual deviance. It was the last work of Pasolini who was murdered in November 1975 three weeks before the film premiered at the Paris Film Festival.

Four guards (Maurizio Valaguzza, Claudio Troccoli, Ezio Manni and Fabrizio Menichini), credited as Collaborators, are armed with Beretta Model 38A submachine guns.
