The Ruffian Le Ruffian ) is a 1983 French-Canadian adventure movie directed by José Giovanni and starring Lino Ventura as Aldo Sévenac, a French Canadian, who works on a gold mine in Rocky Mountains. One day a gang attacks the mine, planning to loot the gold. After a shootout all robbers are dead, and only three miners survive: Aldo and a pair of Indians (actors James Ernest Davis and Danyl Wahayenni-Martin). The three take the gold but Aldo manages to cheat the Indians and escape. When he crosses a river, his boat falls into waterfall, and while Aldo survives, crates with gold nuggets sink. Now Aldo returns to Canada and gathers a team of his old friends to salvage the treasure.
