The series is often mistaken for being an OVA due to its number of episodes and its explicitly violent and erotic content, but is in fact a television series made especially for AT-X, TV-Tokyo's satellite channel. The series was licensed and dubbed into English by Funimation Entertainment.

The second is in episode 5 (set in 2050) when Laura (disguised as Rin wearing a Santa outfit) ambushes Rin at her office with a submachine gun aesthetically similar to the CTAR-21 .
