Narvik: Hitler's First Defeat (Norwegian: Kampen om Narvik) is a 2022 Norwegian war drama film, based on the real-life battle of Narvik between Norwegian soldiers and later British, French, and Polish forces against Nazi Germany in April-June 1940. Inflicting the first major defeat against Hitler's war machine, the small, idyllic town located in the country's north held 85% of the iron ore used by Germany, who sought to take over the town for its sole monopoly.

The following weapons were used in the film Narvik: Hitler's First Defeat:
Pistols
Kongsberg M/1914
A license-produced Colt M1911, the Kongsberg is the service sidearm of Norwegian officers.
Luger P08
A German Hauptmann (Captain) wields a Luger P08 in the "Royal Hotell".
Rifles and Carbines
Berthier Mle. 1907/15
French chasseurs are armed with WWI-vintage Berthiers in conjunction with MAS-36s. With the lack of the distinctive protrusions that the five-round 1907/16 variant has, the Berthier depicted in the film is the earlier, three-shot 1907/15.
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k is the standard-issue rifle of German soldiers in the film.
Krag-Jørgensen m/1894
A dated bolt-action rifle with a horizontal side-loading magazine, the Krag-Jørgensen is the primary service rifle used by Norwegian soldiers.
Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk. III*
Some Norwegian soldiers are also armed with British Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk. III* rifles.
MAS-36
The newer MAS-36 are featured with French chasseurs who arrive to liberate Gunnar from a brief stint in German captivity.
Submachine Guns
Maschinenpistole 40
The MP 40 is the standard-issue submachine gun of German soldiers. Gunnar briefly uses one to kill two German soldiers following his liberation from captivity. While technically accurate for the time period, the earlier MP 38 would be more appropriate as the MP 40 would have only entered production, too late to be shipped to Norway.
Machine Guns
Kongsberg M/29
A Kongsberg M/29 is briefly seen carried by one Norwegian soldier at the film's opening.
Madsen M1914
The Madsen M1914 is the standard-issue light machine gun for Norwegian forces. Some German soldiers utilize a captured Madsen.
MG 34
MG 34s are used by German soldiers in both fixed Lafette 34 mounts and individually. Allied soldiers use a captured MG 34 in some scenes.
Other
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Various German soldiers are seen with Model 24 Stielhandgranates.
