Modern Poster
The Meeting at High Snows (a direct translation of the original title Vstrecha u vysokikh snegov ) is a 1981 Soviet adventure mini series directed by Zinoviy Royzman. In early 1900s Dzhuma Saidov, a villager from Russian Turkestan, is unjustly sentenced to hard labor in Siberia. Dzhuma manages to escape, joins a gang of highwaymen, then participates in Russian Civil war in White Army, changes sides and enters Red Army, and after the war, in 1920s, he at last returns to his native land. Taking part in the struggle against Basmachi , Dzhuma uncovers that their leader Khudayberdy is his own son, born while Dzhuma was in prison, and brought up by Dzhunma's old enemy Appanbai.
