The following weapons were used in the film The Mechanic :
Handguns Custom Engraved Nickel M1911A1 A nickel plated M1911A1 is first used by Harry McKenna (Donald Sutherland ). It is later used by his son Steve McKenna (Ben Foster ). The gun has a Latin phrase, "Amat Victoria Curam", engraved on one side of the slide and its translation on the other. The translation is "Victory Loves Preparation". It is also supposed to be 30 years old. Close-ups of the gun reveal that the movie's armorer provided at least two different 1911s to represent the same gun; the first (seen in the third screencap) is built upon an Auto Ordnance frame, while the second (seen in the last screencap) is built upon an original U.S. Army-issue 1911A1 frame.

McKenna pulls a Glock from a couch when engaging some thugs.
