The Iron Commissioner (original title Il commissario di ferro) is a 1978 Italian crime thriller directed by Stelvio Massi and starring Maurizio Merli as Comissioneer Mauro Mariani. While Mariani hunts for a group of kidnappers, his own family is in grave danger.
The following weapons were used in the film The Iron Commissioner (Il commissario di ferro):
Beretta M1951 pistols are service sidearms of police detectives, including Comissioneer Mauro Mariani (Maurizio Merli) and his partner Inspector Ingravallo (Ettore Manni).
When Sergio Conforti (Massimo Mirani) appears in the police precinct, he is armed with an compact, heavily ornate pistol. It appears to be some version of Llama pistols, supposedly in .380 or .32 caliber. The exact model is still unknown.
Bruno (Franco Garofalo), the leader of kidnappers, is armed with a revolver that resembles a Smith & Wesson Model 19. A similar revolver is used by Comissioneer Mauro Mariani (Maurizio Merli) in the flashback scene.
During the shootout in the shop a criminal is armed with a snub nose revolver. It is seen very briefly but its general shape resembles a Colt Detective Special.
