The Brain (Le cerveau) is a 1969 French crime comedy directed by Gérard Oury and starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Bourvil as two criminals who plan to rob a train that carries a large sum of cash, without knowing that the criminal mastermind "The Brain" (David Niven) has the same idea.
The following weapons were used in the film The Brain:
Belgian MPs (Robert Dalban, Raoul Delfosse and a number of uncredited ones), guarding the money in the train, are armed with M1928A1 Thompson SMGs. The Brain's henchmen are also seen with Thompsons. During the hunt for The Brain in the ruins Frankie Scannapieco (Eli Wallach) is armed with M1928A1 that is fitted with drum magazine and a foregrip to look more "mobster style".
MAT-49
In the night scene on the road the police carry MAT-49 SMGs.
MP40
Several MP40s are seen in Frankie Scannapieco's weapon case.
Rifles
Mauser 98 Sporter
In one scene Frankie Scannapieco (Eli Wallach) fires a Mauser 98 Sporter with a sniper scope from the window of his villa.
Vz. 24 Rifle
Three Mauser rifles are seen in Frankie Scannapieco's weapon case. They look similar to Karabiner 98k but due to straight bolt handles they appear to be VZ-24 Czech Mauser rifles.
L1A1
An L1A1 is seen in hands of a British Queen's Guard soldier in the opening scene.
Various long guns
In the final scene US police officers are seen with various rifles and/or shotguns. Due to large distance they cannot be identified.

M9 Bazooka
Two M9 Bazooka launchers are seen in Frankie Scannapieco's weapon case.
Toy Revolvers
During the robbery Arthur (Jean-Paul Belmondo) and Anatole (Bourvil) arm themselves with Western-style toy revolvers.
