Detective Lieutenant Remy McSwain (Dennis Quaid) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 49 "Bodyguard" in an ankle holster.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
Captain Jack Kellom (Ned Beatty) pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 60 after being punched by Remy. Similar revolvers are used by Internal Affairs detectives.
Remington 1866 Derringer
During an interview, Detective DeSoto (John Goodman) has to give up his weapons, which includes a Remington 1866 Derringer.
Beretta 950 Jetfire
A Beretta 950 Jetfire is also put down by DeSoto (John Goodman).
Colt Official Police Revolver
A revolver is seen is a holster, given up by Desoto. The emblem on the grips appear to be a Colt, like the Colt Official Police.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
Detective Sergeant Andre DeSoto (John Goodman) is seen holding an Ithaca 37 police model shotgun when confronting Remy. Anne Osborne (Ellen Barkin) also is seen using the shotgun.
Ithaca 37 (Extended Magazine Tube)
An Ithaca 37 shotgun with an extended magazine tube and pistol grip is also used by Ed Dodge (Ebbe Roe Smith).
