A Better Tomorrow II
A Better Tomorrow II is a 1987 Hong Kong action film sequel to A Better Tomorrow. John Woo returned to direct the film, and once again stars Chow Yun-Fat, this time as the twin younger brother of the character he played in the first film. Chow Yun-Fat would return in the 1989 prequel A Better Tomorrow III.
The following weapons were used in the film A Better Tomorrow II:
Handguns
Beretta 92F
The Beretta 92F is used by every main character and many of Triad gangsters throughout the film.
Colt Python
The Colt Python is seen in the hands of Ken "Gor" Lee (Chow Yun-Fat).
Smith & Wesson Model 36
A Smith & Wesson Model 36 is held by Lung Si (Dean Shek) while Ko Ying-Pui's (Kwan Shan) silent henchman uses what appears to be a similar model suppressed revolver to frame Lung Si for murder. Note that the cylinder obviously holds max 5 rounds, indicating it is a J-Frame revolver by Smith & Wesson. Sung Tse-Kit (Leslie Cheung) also carries this revolver.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
The Smith & Wesson Model 10 is seen in the hand of an NYPD officer. Hong Kong police officers are also seen holding this revolver at the end of the film.
Smith & Wesson 59
Sung Tse-Ho (Ti Lung) uses a Smith & Wesson 59 during the final shootout. This is a continuity error, as he switches to the S&W after being seen firing two Beretta 92F pistols.
Colt Commander
An assassin sent to kill Lung Si (Dean Shek) uses a suppressed Colt Commander.
Submachine Guns
Mini Uzi
The Mini Uzi is used by Lung Si (Dean Shek) in the shipyard raid and by Ken "Gor" Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) during the final shootout.
MAC-10
The MAC-10 is used by Ken "Gor" Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) in the shipyard raid. Later it is used by Sung Tse-Ho (Ti Lung) and Lung Si (Dean Shek) during the final shootout at Triad boss Ko Ying-Pui's mansion. Also seen in the hands of several mafia gangsters who attempted to kill Lung Si in New York.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Heckler & Koch MP5A3s are used by some of Triad gangsters.
Shotguns
Franchi SPAS-12
The Franchi SPAS-12 is used by Ken "Gor" Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) to kill several mafia gangsters in New York.
Remington Model 31 (Replica)
A replica of the Remington Model 31 shotgun, with pistol grip, is used by Ken "Gor" Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) during the final shootout.
Others
M18 smoke grenade
M18 smoke grenades are used by Ken "Gor" Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) and Sung Tse-Ho (Ti Lung) during the final shootout at Ko's mansion. M18 smoke grenades are incorrectly shown as high-explosive weapons.
Mk 2 hand grenade
A few of Mk 2 hand grenades are used by Ken "Gor" Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) to blow up Ko's counterfeiting operation during the final shootout at his mansion.
