Catch-22 (1970)
Catch-22 is the 1970 adaptation of Joseph Heller's best selling novel of the same name, directed by Mike Nichols and starring Alan Arkin, Martin Sheen, Art Garfunkel, and Jon Voight. Although this adaptation was done with the blessing of the author, it was overshadowed by Robert Altman's MASH, another anti-war black comedy which was released in the same year.

Star Model B
1st Lt Dobbs (Martin Sheen) tries to kill Colonel Cathcart (Martin Balsam) with a Star Model B. Capt Yossarian (Alan Arkin) wrestles it away and later uses it for himself.

Colonel Cathcart (Martin Balsam) carries an M1911A1 with pearl grips.

The squadron's B-25 Mitchell bombers are armed with Browning M2 Aircraft machine guns.
