SP101 vs. GP101
Could somebody explain what's the difference between the models GP101 (seen above) and SP101 (seen previous page)? I think it's the outside coating but I am not 100% sure, PeeWee055 (talk) 03:05, 3 November 2015 (EST)
- Could be wrong, but I am pretty sure it is just a misprint in this case. I have never heard of the SP101, and to me the supposed GP101 above just looks like a 3" barrelled SP101. As for the apparently different finishes, it may just be a lighting issue but it could also be that the SP101 above has Ruger's "Target Grey" finish. This isn't a coating but rather I think that the stainless stell is bead blasted and then acid etched to give it a duller grey finish. This is still an SP101 though, it is just a different model (I believe distributor exclusive from Lipsey's). --commando552 (talk) 04
