The Mad Dog Killer (original title La belva col mitra ("The beast with machine gun")) is a 1977 Italian crime movie directed by Sergio Grieco. A group of criminals, lead by murderous Nanni Vitali (Helmut Berger), escapes from prison. Commissioner Giulio Santini (Richard Harrison) starts a hunt for the gang.
The following weapons were used in the film The Mad Dog Killer (La belva col mitra):
A Beretta M1951 is Commissioner Santini's (Richard Harrison) personal handgun. M1951 pistols are also seen in hands of other police detectives and criminals, including Nanni Vitali (Helmut Berger).
In one scene Nanni Vitali (Helmut Berger) uses a bolt action rifle with a sniper scope. Vitali loads a new cartridge after a shot so the rifle appears to be a single shot model.
