Talk:Lake Placid vs. Anaconda
Pretty sure that rifle isn't a Steyr Scout. The rear of the bolt is wrong, the scope mounts are different, it is missing the scout rail, there is a cut out in the stock for the ejection port, and it doesn't look like it has the removable magazine. To me it just looks like a Remington 700. Also, is this page still a WIP, incomplete, upcoming or what? Lastly, if the shotgun is a Stinger S34P then I think it would be better to just list it as a Benelli M3 Super 90 Shorty, unless you have a shot showing that it lacks the charging handle. --commando552 (talk) 07:25, 27 August 2015 (EDT)
- I think the ASALT is a Arsenal Shipka. And the MP5 looks a bit "off". Maybe a chopped HK94? Did they have those overseas? --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:38, 27 August 2015 (EDT)
- Agree on the Shipka. As for the HK94, no, I doubt you would find one in a movie filmed in Bulgaria, and even if you did this one isn't as it has a Navy lower. The barrel does look weird though, definitely too long and it is missing the lugs. Maybe it is one of those Turkish licensed built guns from MKE? I think they have long barrel civillian versions that could have been chopped down to make this sort of type gun. I think those tend to have SEF lowers though, but I am past the point of my ignorance on this matter. --commando552 (talk) 16:03, 27 August 2015 (EDT)
- Maybe a PPS mocked up as an MP5? --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:09, 27 August 2015 (EDT)
- I don't really see anything wrong with the receiver to make me think it is anything other than an MP5/licensed copy/clone, it is only the barrel that is off to me. If you compare this gun to one of those modded PPS-43, the gun in this is much more refined with no sign of a PPS-43 receiver base:--commando552 (talk) 16:25, 27 August 2015 (EDT)
