Rebuild of Evangelion
Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
Rebuild of Evangelion is a four-film series from Studio Gainax that is a remake of the Neon Genesis Evangelion television series. Each movie is given a numerical designation (1.0, 2.0, etc.) upon its theatrical release. The number is then amended (1.1, 1.11, etc.) for its home video releases as more footage is added.
Currently two of three Rebuild films have been released and the third is slated for fall of 2012.
- Evangelion: 1.XX You Are (Not) Alone
- Evangelion: 2.XX You Can (Not) Advance
- Evangelion: 3.XX You Can (Not) Redo
- Evangelion: Final (working title)
The following weapons were used in the film Rebuild of Evangelion series:
Pistols
Heckler & Koch USP
Ryoji Kaji is seen in the Evangelion 3.0 trailer aiming what resembles a Heckler & Koch USP with a laser sight mounted underneath the barrel.
Submachine Guns
Heckler and Koch MP7A1
NERV Tactical soldiers can be seen armed with what appear to be Heckler & Koch MP7A1 submachine guns.
Machine Guns
Browning/Sumitomo M2HB
The Browning/Sumitomo M2HB is seen in the first and second movies used in UN Army military vehicles.
Sumitomo Type 74
The Sumitomo Type 74 is seen in UN Army Type 74 MBTs as a secondary weapon in the first movie.
Mounted Weapons
Bofors 40mm
Misato's fleet, seen in the third movie, includes a number of Iowa-class battleships. Strangely, these are shown in their WW2 configuration, with multiple Bofors 40mm quad installations which were removed from all real Iowas during their refits.
M269 Launcher Loader Module
M269 Modules mounted on UN Army-controlled MLRS are used to fire M26 rockets at Sachiel when it begins to approach Tokyo-3 in the first movie. This scene is based on a similar scene from the first episode of the original TV series.
Oerlikon 20mm Cannon
In addition to their 40mm Bofors guns, the Iowa-class battleships in Misato's fleet also retain their Oerlikon 20mm Cannons.
