Before Sunrise (Pered rassvetom)

Before Sunrise (original title Pered rassvetom) is a 1989 Soviet war drama directed by Yaropolk Lapshin. In Summer 1941 a train that transports a group of convicts is destroyed by German planes. Only three men survived: NKVD Lieutenant (Yevgeny Mironov) who was the chief of the guards, and two convicts: Vasya (Aleksandr Pankratov-Chyornyy), a seasoned criminal, and Nikolai (Valeri Ryzhakov), a former high rank Soviet officer.

Handguns
Tokarev TT-33
A TT-33 is a personal firearm of Lieutenant (Yevgeny Mironov) (this character is never named). In several scenes his pistol is used by Nikolai (Valeri Ryzhakov).
Nagant M1895
One of NKVD officers (Nikita Tretyakov) holds a Nagant M1895 revolver in the opening scene.
Luger P08
In the final scene a German officer is seen with a Luger P08.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
Several NKVD guards carry PPSh-41 SMGs in the opening scene.
MP40
Numerous German soldiers are armed with MP40 SMGs. In one scene a partisan Ivan (Aleksandr Olkov) carries an MP40.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Most Soviet soldiers are armed with Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles, often with bayonets. Vasya (Aleksandr Pankratov-Chyornyy) fires an M91/30 rifle during the battle with German paratroopers.
Karabiner 98k
Some German soldiers are armed with Karabiner 98k rifles. Nikolai (Valeri Ryzhakov) and Vasya (Aleksandr Pankratov-Chyornyy) use captured 98k rifles.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910/30
Several Maxim M1910/30 machine guns are mounted on the train in the opening scene. During the battle with German paratroopers Nikolai (Valeri Ryzhakov) mans a Maxim.
A twin AA mounting of Maxim is mounted on the train.
MG34
MG34 machine guns, mounted on motorcycle sidecars, are used by German soldiers in several scenes.
PK (visually modified to resemble MG34)
In the firing scene MG34 is substituted with a visually modified PK.
