More Info Released

This isn't the actual trailer, but it shows a lot of what appears to be official screen caps and video. I ID Barry's Beretta 96F from Resident Evil 5 and his magnum from Resident Evil (2002), plus some sort of AK-style rifle. There's an image for assault rifle ammo, which states 5.56mm ammo. Barry, HUNK, and Albert Wesker are also apparently confirmed, with Barry being the primary protagonist, alongside Claire.

This video just explains some of the aspects of the game, including that it takes place between Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. Claire can also apparently be seen firing her Makarov.
This is Barry's debut trailer:

Can we maybe get some screen caps?--That's the Way It's Done (talk) 22:40, 3 December 2014 (EST)
I used to have more time to screen cap but I've been busy with work. Also I laughed seeing how armed to the teeth Barry is. He's got 2 sidearms and a rifle, be it missing an optic as far as I could tell and possibly a backpack full of extra stuff. He's ready for this rescue mission...unlike Leon who went into danger with nothing but a dinky pistol. Also Barry was showing awesome trigger discipline when we see his handgun. What also surprise me is unlike Resident Evil 6, all the guns seemed to be real guns Excalibur01 (talk) 20:44, 6 December 2014 (EST)
I can work on screen capping today. This is my one day off this week, so now I'll have the time. :) So far, I've identified Barry's Beretta 96FS, his Silver Serpent, and that rifle (interestingly enough, he actually carried more guns in Resident Evil 5 since he had both handguns, a Model 29, and an SVD).
If this game sticks to the same three weapons scheme as the previous one, then I suspect Barry will only have the handgun and magnum to begin with (considering Resident Evil is one of the few games out there that makes that distinction), and he finds the rifle later on. I'm just hoping they keep most of the core mechanics from the last one. I loved the number of guns in the first Revelations and I'd like to see that here as well, provided the emphasis is more on the older stable guns (i.e., less SMGs and assault rifles, more handguns, magnums, and shotguns). --That's the Way It's Done (talk) 09:34, 7 December 2014 (EST)
- Well gameplay wise, it would be TOO easy to have that many guns on you at the beginning of a game like this. Excalibur01 (talk) 23:45, 19 January 2015 (EST)

Samurai Edge, a big revolver, an "NSR-47" and the other icon looks like a Springfield or something.Temp89 (talk)
- In the picture for the assault rifle, that sniper rifle reminds me of a Mosin-Nagant. Anyone else?--That's the Way It's Done (talk) 18:41, 26 January 2015 (EST)
- You're not alone, especially with the position of the scope. --RedRobinAlpha (talk) 23:57, 26 January 2015 (GMT)

I would wait and see more footage before saying the AR fires AK rounds and uses AK mags. It could just be how they draw the logo for the rifle. Excalibur01 (talk) 07:45, 27 January 2015 (EST)
Well never mind then. I can plainly see the AK style mag and the magwell meant for an AK. And there isn't a paddle release like other AR rifles that fire AK Excalibur01 (talk) 20:10, 27 January 2015 (EST)
Doing what little research I could find, it seems if Barry got a hold of an actual KAC SR-47 then he knows people in SOCOM because only 7 of these rifles were ever officially produced. 6 given to USSOCOM and the 7th one kept at KAC Excalibur01 (talk) 00:06, 26 February 2015 (EST)
- I dunno. It's conceivable, since Resident Evil exists in an alternate universe, more were produced. I mean, we saw prototype SCARs in Operation Raccoon City and the XD-9 in Darkside Chronices during 1998, and Jill Valentine was supposedly in DELTA Force at one point. If you look at it from a practical standpoint (and knowing very little about this particular rifle) it's also possible this weapon is in service with the BSAA or someone else, since 7.62mm NATO has a lot of get-up-and-go which would make it ideal for killing BOWs. --That's the Way It's Done (talk) 17:35, 28 February 2015 (EST)
- My theory is that Barry knew his daughter is on a Russian island so he picked a 7.62x39mm rifle, hoping he will find more ammo for it. It's a nice detail if that's the case. Plus it's nice to see a game without an AK-47, I'm really getting tired of those. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 06:39, 7 March 2015 (EST)
I for one am glad that Capcom decided to drop this whole "Let's send this character to a very hostile location with nothing but a pistol and a box of bullets" and instead had Barry show up with a small arsenal. --Bad Boy (talk) 01:55, 8 March 2015 (EST)
Changes
Who removed the Glock 18 entry? And why change entries to their fictional names if they're only based on one weapon?Temp89 (talk)
- You just said it why. The AF might be based on a UMP but it has a completely different receiver. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 09:51, 11 March 2015 (EDT)
- So is the G18 a console only weapon? Because I have unlocked the "Weapon Wizard" record and there was no G18 in PC version. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 07:15, 19 March 2015 (EDT)
