RE:Flare Pistol in Soldier Boyz
Thanks, glad I could help. When I found that page it was annoying me as well, as it is clearly real with a very distinctive design, but any search I did for flare pistols just came up with more conventional military style flare guns. It wasn't until I realised it was probably a cheap civilian thing and searched for "cheap flare pistol" and it came up on the first page. --commando552 (talk) 13:09, 20 June 2014 (EDT)
Undercover Brother
Thanks, I totally forgot about that. Now if only I can ID it... --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:34, 1 July 2014 (EDT)

Revolver ID
I was going to suggesting bringing in JCordell, but great minds think alike. Since it's an older revolver, maybe Nyles as well. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:41, 24 August 2014 (EDT)
Revolver ID
Well it's more of a guess, but I like to think of it being an educated guess. I believe it's a Manurhin MR-73 with a 5" barrel. The cylinder release latch and the design of the hammer is consistent with the MR-73. However it is the model with the adjustable rear sights. The front sight is too high for the fixed sight model. It appears that the rear sight was removed - possibly the actor kept snagging the rear sight on his clothing and other things.
It is not a Korth revolver and it lacks the ventilated top rib of the Colt Python and Colt Diamondback. When the movie was made (1983) there were five ,commercial, mass-produced revolver models with full barrel length lugs. The S&W L frame .357 magnum (586/686/581/681), Colt Python, Colt Diamondback, Korth and Manurhin MR-73. The MR-73 comes closest to matching the lines of the revolver in those screencaps. Hope this helped.--Jcordell (talk) 17:52, 24 August 2014 (EDT)
- Well right now I have to say that the revolver in "Contraband" looks like it could be a Smith & Wesson Model 27 with the 3.5" barrel. It's a large framed revolver and has lines similar to the S&W N frame. Note that in the one screencap it's obvious that the cylinder does not fill the frame like it would on a Model 29 (44 Magnum) and the forcing cone is longer - like a Model 27/28. I have to go with the 27. Give me time on the other two. --Jcordell (talk) 11:24, 25 August 2014 (EDT)
- Looks like a Smython. The barrel of a Colt Python fitted to the frame of the Smith & Wesson Model 19. This was a very popular conversion done by a few gunsmiths in the seventies and sixties. When Smith brought out the L frame models in 1980 the popularity of the Smython faded. Google and you'll find out more info. --Jcordell (talk) 01:59, 28 August 2014 (EDT)
re:Riva Esterina Black Widow
I got that date from an Italian site, but after Google translating (I speak zero Italian) it the date wasn't when it was made, but rather talking abut some journal it appeared in in 1982 (I think). I'm not quite sure what this site is or what it is talking about, but it is one of the only sites on the web that even mentions this gun. --commando552 (talk) 12:16, 28 August 2014 (EDT)
Wide sreen
Funky wrote: "It all depends on aspect ratios. Per the Style Guide, "Thumbnails of "full-screen" (4x3 ratio) screencaps should be set at 500 pixels, thumbnails for "widescreen" screencaps (1.66:1, 16:9, 1:85:1, 2.35:1) screencaps should be set to 600 pixels. Lower quality screencaps, from unrestored films, VHS copies or those filmed in 16mm may have thumbnails set to 400px." Here's the link we had illustrating the most popular aspect ratios. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:33, 28 August 2014 (EDT)! Unfortunately. Me too it always no like this, I would suggest the introduction of a compromise format 550! Previously, I used it for these cases ....--Pandolfini (talk) 01:17, 29 August 2014 (EDT)

Ho!
According to the rules, I redid the thumbnail images in the film Ho! from 500px to 600 px. And it looked very ugly. So I found this film in HQ quality and remade all screens. It was quite a chore, especially those numbers :)--Pandolfini (talk) 09:48, 7 September 2014 (EDT) And there's the one "icing on the cake"! X-Files Cover Images
How do? I've been tweaking and messing around with cover art images for the X-Files seasons. I've gotten some decent images now and I wanted to know if you could delete the previous images. I've uploaded a few ones for certain seasons and it just looks cluttered, if you get what I mean. Whenever you can around to it, of course. Thanks. StanTheMan (talk) 00:30, 19 December 2014 (EST)
RE:
Eh, it's kind of confusing, because the poster details are only stated at the end of the film's article. And I understand the reasoning about not mentioning poster weapons, but I though that it would still be worth stating them... I don't know... --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 18:09, 13 January 2015 (EST)

Is Paris Burning
I think your screenshots are not in the correct aspect ratio for Is Paris Burning?. The people appear to be too skinny in the pictures. You may have to resize and reupload. --Ben41 (talk) 22:21, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
