Pumpkinhead and Carnosaur

Sorry but my DVD for Pumpkinhead is very blurry because it's a bootleg i taked the pics with VLC. But White Fang (1973) contains very nice picture quality. (talk), 07:30, 15 December 2014. I'm gonna create the page Silver Bullet but don't worry it's on a very high quality because i own the very good DVD from Paramount. And i don't gonna use bootlegs again. I 'm gonna use VLC but first i watch the movie to be sure that i'm not gonna miss i firearm.

Re: Heroes

Hey, thanks for the correction and identification.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 22:40, 31 December 2013 (EST)

Hey Ben, I just want to let you Heroes - Season 2 is completed, feel free to look over it and correct anything if need be. Thanks for all the help and advice. I'll be moving on to Seasons 3 & 4 soon.

Hey Ben, I just started on Season 3, and I need help with identification on a revolver I added, it's cataloged as a Smith & Wesson Model 637 Airweight because that's the one that best matched it when I looked, if you can take a look at it and confirm it, I will be grateful.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:48, 6 January 2014 (EST)

Hey again Ben, thanks for the correction last time. Hate to have to ask for your help again, but I'm having a dilemma with some AK rifles in Episode 11, I can't tell for sure if some of them are AKMs or Type 56s, some of them have hooded sights while most of them seem to have slant muzzle brakes, I put the images on Talk:Heroes - Season 3. If you can confirm them, I will once again be grateful. Thanks in advance.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:37, 9 January 2014 (EST)

Many thanks--Alienqueen11 (talk) 01:49, 10 January 2014 (EST)

Hey Ben41, I need another identification, I have this rifle I spotted in episode 23, I think it cold be an M14 rifle, but need a little help to make sure, it's at the bottom of Talk:Heroes - Season 3. Thanks in advance for any help.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:30, 19 January 2014 (EST)

Hey Ben, thanks for all the help you've given me so far. I have yet another unknown I found in Season 4, do you mind taking a look at it on Talk:Heroes - Season 4 if you're not too busy?--Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:28, 26 January 2014 (EST)

Thanks.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 18:03, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Hey Ben, Thanks so much for helping me build the Heroes page. I have one last identification I need for Season 4, if you can identify this rifle for me, I can complete the page.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 00:08, 29 January 2014 (EST)

Solomon Kane

I want to create article Solomon Kane. This is France, Czech and Great Britain film. You wrote me, that I shouldn't create articles to samurai films. It's not samurai films, but it contain only a few flintlock pistols. May I create this page or not? Pyramid Silent (talk) 13:30, 2 January 2014 (EST)

Milla Jovovich

Milla has the power of pictures .. is fussy and yet it is the same character from one series. --Pandolfini (talk) 19:34, 4 January 2014 (EST) It was said, that they need less foto. Why is there so much Milly from one series?--Pandolfini (talk) 19:37, 4 January 2014 (EST) Now it's the best! (I mean the three last selected.) In the additional gallery I removed the one that is on the main page in order to avoid repetition. Thx!--Pandolfini (talk) 19:39, 4 January 2014 (EST) I see. I had no idea, sorry. I did not want the same image was in discussion and on the site :)--Pandolfini (talk) 04:46, 5 January 2014 (EST)

My Name is Nobody

Thanks for the edit to my synopsis. I actually rewrote it a couple of times, but it just seemed clunky. It's amazing what a fresh eye can do. Good editors are all too often unappreciated, but not by me. --Jcordell (talk) 18:14, 10 January 2014 (EST)
Sure thing. It's a great movie and should have had a page here in imfdb years ago. Got it for Christmas so I knew it was a sign. LOL.--Jcordell (talk) 18:19, 10 January 2014 (EST)

Watermark

Hey buddy! Love your screencaps! BTW. As per your question, it's not like I'm slowwitted and haven't thought about it. LOL! :D It takes a bunch of time to go back and REDO all of the many images that don't have it. I will make the time (which I don't have BTW) to do that. I DO, however, put a watermark on all the new pics. or at least the LOGO which they have to intentionally remove before reposting, thus eliminating their excuse that they 'didn't know'. :) MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 21:02, 12 January 2014 (EST)

breaking bad

Why is the Talk page for Breaking Bad looking like the actual page itself? And the actual page for Breaking bad is less populated? MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 22:33, 12 January 2014 (EST)

you've done it with several entries. BUT, the reason I asked about it is that the "TALK" pages are there on the directory listing of shows along with the actual show pages. That isn't right. The TALK pages should not be listed with the actual pages on the directory. It looks bizarre and makes the entry look incomplete and confusing. I may not be explaining this well, so let me know if you know what I mean. :) MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 02:36, 14 January 2014 (EST)

April Rain

I've been trying to dig up info on this film, and from what I can tell, it hasn't gotten a DVD release yet, so I'm not sure it's fair to mark is incomplete just yet. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:56, 15 January 2014 (EST)

It looks like that's just the theatrical release. According to a post from 11/6/13 on its Facebook page, there's not DVD release yet. "Thank you all for your support of "April Rain." The DGA screening was a huge success. Keep an eye out for the release of "April Rain" coming soon. In the mean time, my latest feature film "Fatal Instinct" is currently in post production." (And this is why I hate it when people do pages based just on trailers. Ugh.) --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:13, 15 January 2014 (EST)

Soldier

The reason that I reverted your screenshot of the HK91 back to mine is because your screenshot does not show that the weapon has a non-pushpin lower receiver, the distinguishing feature of the HK91 compared to the G3. Do you mind re-taking it so that it does a better job proving the identity of the weapon? -MT2008 (talk) 13:32, 20 January 2014 (EST)

BHD Miniguns

Just curious, why did you change the ID on the Black Hawk Down miniguns from GAU-17/A's? In all the screenshots they appear to have the slotted flash hider of the GAU-17/A (not sure about on the Little Bird as they are spinning, but as they appear to have a transparent band in the middle this would also suggest they have the slots). Also, as the Black Hawks were provided by the Air Force I would assume that they were fitted with the actual GAU-17/A miniguns that are fitted IRL. Note that the stock image for the GAU-17/A is of one fitted to an HH-60 Pave Hawk and it is identical to this, including the accessories such as the sight rail, mounting bracket and stuff like that. --commando552 (talk) 18:06, 4 February 2014 (EST)

I thought it was the army that supplied the choppers. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:58, 4 February 2014 (EST)
Been a long time since I saw the making of documentary so you are probably right. However, surely we should still call it a GAU-17/A though as it is that specific variant, rather than the generic M134. If they are Army then I know that a GAU designation may be technically wrong for what they would call them, but I don't think the Army have a designation for this variant so I think it is better to use the GAU one to differentiate the two. Otherwise we would have to call it "the special updated M134 flexible variant that the USAF calls the GAU-17/A but the Army still just call the M134". --commando552 (talk) 19:42, 4 February 2014 (EST)
The thing is though, it is the exact same gun as the GAU-17/A. It isn't the case that the GAU-17/A is just what the USAF call the M134, it is a different variant with a number of modifications (must notable for ID purposes is the flash hider) to allow it to be more effective in the flexible role. It was developed by the USAF and then the Army starting using it but haven't given it a destination over and above the general "M134" which is horrifically vague and applies to all weapons regardless of manufacturer or configuration. To me it makes much more sense that we should call it the GAU-17/A as this is an identifiable, separate variant and this is the designation it was invented with. Granted this is a slightly grey area as these specific guns in the film have the official designation of an M134 as it is actually a genuine Army helicopter, however if it was mounted on a mecha in an anime we would not debate whether it was an Army or Air force robot, we would just call it a GAU-17/A as that is what it is. Furthermore, if a GAU-17/A is mounted on a pintle mount on a boat we wouldn't call it a Mk 44 which is the technically correct Navy designation, as once again it would be confusing to call the exact some gun a different name depending on what it was sitting on.
If nothing else, as it stands the current picture of the Garwood is wrong as all of the miniguns in the film have the slotted GAU-17/A flash hider. The correct picture would undeniably be the GAU-17/A one, and then at this point you are back to saying that that if it was mounted on a USAF helicopter would be a GAU-17/A, but on an Army Black Hawk it is just an M134 because the Army never bothered to come up with a name for it (probably because they are too proud to use a USAF GAU designation). We should put a disclaimer in the GAU-17/A section that it is not actually called that in US Army service though like we have done similar things on several other pages, like the Barrett M82A1/M107 difference, or that we call later P226s P226Rs even though that is not the actual name. --commando552 (talk) 22:00, 4 February 2014 (EST)

Re: The colony

Thanks, I was going to. I just had that copied in a text doc before I lost everything else.--Davken1102 (talk) 15:19, 8 February 2014 (EST)

Ok, thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if it was ok to save an unfinished page but I'll do that from now on. This is my first time contributing anything so I'm trying to learn asap. If i cannot identify some of the guns how would I ask for assistance?--Davken1102 (talk) 19:03, 8 February 2014 (EST)
Thanks for the help so far, I didn't think I should save that much, doesn't that use up server space to save often? or no big deal? --Davken1102 (talk) 02:10, 9 February 2014 (EST)
I'm using vlc player w/ hd source. Could you check the ones I've reuploaded and see if they look better? I redid the double barrel shotgun and it looks good on the page but the others look kind of squished for some reason even though I took them the same way. --Davken1102 (talk) 03:50, 9 February 2014 (EST)
Ok, I guess VLC isn't good at doing the discrete cosine transform, I'll do the conversion with another program. You were right about the size too, they look better after refresh! Thanks! Sorry for all the mistakes, starting to think I'm not very good at this.. :/ --Davken1102 (talk) 04:02, 9 February 2014 (EST)

Assault on Wall Street

Is Assault on Wall Street done? All the screencaps were from before the official release date. --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:25, 11 February 2014 (EST)

I'll take your word for it. I'm hoping to avoid all Uwe Boll films. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:40, 11 February 2014 (EST)

Strike Back Season 4

I had cross referenced with other website about the US DVD cover for Strike Back Season 4 and they all showed that poster that I had put on the page as the official DVD Cover for the US. Also seeing as the picture below is the cover for the UK Release of the DVD I do believe that the season 4 poster on the page is the official DVD cover.

Law & Order SVU

I see you're in the process of setting up individual season pages. If you want, I can help by making a basic set up of the other season pages with preliminary formatting and at least a couple of entries with the proper characters/actors for that season along with the available screencaps from the main page. More-or-less the same thing I had did with the Criminal Minds pages before. Like then I don't have caps of my own for this show, but again, I can get the pages setup on a basic level as placeholders until you get additional caps to finish them off. If you want, of course. StanTheMan (talk) 19:56, 5 March 2014 (EST)

Ah, ok, nice one, dude. Over the next day or two I'll look through the pages and add/change anything missing and all that. Meantime I'll just leave you at it. Best of luck to ya, man. StanTheMan (talk) 21:06, 5 March 2014 (EST)
Couple of spots to hit if you can get 'em - S2E5 - Don't remember the exact gun but it's some kind of small auto, I believe it was shown by a woman in the episode, it's the episode where the detectives investigate a shooting committed by a little boy (It's not his gun I don't think but one belonging to another parent that she shows Munch/Belzer and Fin/Ice-T). Also a former rape victim Harper Anderson in S2E3 is seen shooting a polished chrome/stainless Desert Eagle at a firing range. EDIT - Also S3E12, a mother and protected witness wields a gun near the end of the episode, also I think there are some police impersonators who are seen with Glocks, not sure though. There's a few other ones, I've made entries as best I can remember on the respective season pages. StanTheMan (talk) 16:25, 6 March 2014 (EST)
Cool. I also trimmed down the remaining copy-and-pasted season pages (7,8,9) and put up the proper production pics on those. I can't really speak to anything much on the show past Season 9, as that was about when I stopped following the show really. But otherwise, I got some more spots, forgive the all-caps on this list here -

  • S4E07 DOLLS - POSSIBLE REM 700 RIFLES SHOWN FROM ESU SNIPERS
  • S4E20 DOMINANCE - SMALL SEMIAUTO USED BY SUSPECT
  • S5E21 CRIMINAL - NICKEL REVOLVER USED IN ENDING STANDOFF, MP5 FIRED IN STANDOFF
  • S6E06 CONSCIENCE - VICTIM'S FATHER OPEN FIRES WITH OFFICER'S WEAPON, GLOCK?
  • S6E10 HAUNTED - MAC-10 AND SEMIAUTO USED IN OPENING ROBBERY
  • S6E13 QUARRY - POSSIBLE PISTOL USED?
  • S6E16 GHOST - CSU PICTURES OF WEAPONS, HANDGUN USED BY FLEEING SUSPECT?
  • S7E12 INFECTED - SEMIAUTO USED, EP REGARDS GUN CONTROL

Hope this all helps. Again, be sure to check the pages themselves as I made a couple other entries/notations that may not be on this list. StanTheMan (talk) 18:20, 6 March 2014 (EST)

"Dolls" - I screwed up there, The episode I meant was S2E15 "Countdown", this was near the end but I'm not certain if they showed the ESU sharpshooters at all (they did reference them in the episode though, that I remember). Same might go for "Quarry", not certain of the weapon being shown there either, hence why I have the question mark there. A couple of the other pistols I listed I'm not sure if they're shown well enough for ID either. This was just all stuff from memory, so forgive me it not being too accurate. Exiled

I'm glad you were able to find a copy of Exiled. I came *this* close to just breaking down and buying a used copy from Amazon. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:40, 5 March 2014 (EST)

That's just it, I don't, otherwise I would've already done it. It's out of print, like the Homicide: Life on the Street movie. --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:45, 6 March 2014 (EST)

I'm sorry, but I bought this DVD in the shop, and pay $10. This images are good resolution (688 × 368) and a good quality, so I don't understand, what I did wrong. Please answer me. Pyramid Silent (talk) 10:30, 22 March 2014 (EDT)

And about bad quality of the two last images - it's moving effect. Pistol moving at the moment, so images be blurred Pyramid Silent (talk) 10:42, 22 March 2014 (EDT)

Re: Quality of screenshots

I am aware that my screenshots of Trailer Park Boys are of low quality and need updates, and I am working on them. For the pepper spray, I was unaware. Thanks a lot. slum_5050 (talk) 11:56, 30 March 2014 (NDT)

Exit Wounds

No they aren't but I will redo them because it would be easier and I have already started doing that. --Gunfan2818 (talk) 24 April 2014 (EDT)

I will just add addition screenshots for now but I wasn't going to redo the whole page just get rid of some blurry pics. Plus I just noticed that my version is a digitally remastered copy. --Gunfan2818 (talk) 24 April 2014 (EDT)

Plus I did have a Blu-Ray copy of Exit Wounds which I had used to get previous screenshots from the movie but it got damaged. But the digitally remastered copy screenshots are coming out the same as may Blu-Ray shots. --Gunfan2818 (talk) 24 April 2014 (EDT)

I would suggest that you try VLC with your video source and save them like I have pointed out on my user page or in the IMFDB Screencapping Guide. Your dimensions on your screenshots should come up to be like 1920x544px or something like that. --Ben41 (talk) 21:35, 24 April 2014 (EDT)
I would think real BD caps would bigger filesize-wise. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:04, 24 April 2014 (EDT)

Gun images

Some of the new images are not that bad. I think the MK 22 image is certainly an improvement. Others, like the Orita, were downgrades. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:34, 25 April 2014 (EDT)

I don't know if you've been following the Richard III changes. I'm tempted to rollback everything. What do you think? --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:22, 4 May 2014 (EDT)

RE: More work on Chicago PD

Not sure if this is how I message back but totally! I'm a video editor and I also use my capture card to record most of my favorite TV shows so I can get straight from broadcast screen shots easy. I also enjoy identifying various firearms in TV shows so yeah. The Chicago PD page is sort of lacking which is kind of surprising, just need to get the hang of editing wiki pages but thats easy. --Nateo200 (talk) 16:57, 11 May 2014 (EDT)

RE: Screenshots: Alright, I've been uploading 720p caps but I can certainly upload 1080p captures...I saw you went in and did that...only reason I prefer 720p is because 1080 is almost always interlaced which is kind of a mess but I can always work with that. I use VLC to screen cap once I capture the entire episode and occasionally screen grabs right from the card. For other content like movies I try and get direct grabs from Blu-ray or first/second gen Blu-ray rips....Network logo is near impossible to avoid as its constant....Ill try and keep the file size down to under 200KB as well if thats a concern, I like to minimize re-compression so I'll read the screen cap guide over again and if you have anything else to add just let me know. Ill add the episode and season markers on them all, I believe I did it for every upload just need to add it into the page. - Nateo200 - 20:57, 11 May 2014

New Images

I've uploaded 4 new images, can you check their quality please? The first two are from Breakthrough and the second two from Brass target. Neither has officially been released on dvd and they are quite rare! They are from VCR rips so quality won't get better than this I'm afraid. --Maskedweasel (talk) 09:19, 5 June 2014 (EDT)

WWII Featured

If you're featuring WWII titles to commemorate D-Day, there are plenty of D-Day or at least European theater titles you can include in place of the Pacific theater titles you have. The Dirty Dozen (the mission ends on D-Day), My Way, The Bridge at Remagen, Red Tails, etc. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:27, 5 June 2014 (EDT)

I had always assumed The Dirty Dozen had HD caps. After it's The Dirty Dozen! If you want to set a schedule of days to commemorate, we can start compiling films for those holidays. Just off the top of my head, VE Day, D-Day, VJ Day, Pearl Harbor, maybe Fourth of July? I know you already have a Christmas compilation. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:12, 5 June 2014 (EDT)

The 100th anniversary of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand is saturday. What do you think about World War I featured pages? --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:26, 26 June 2014 (EDT)

War Horse (in HD), Sergeant York, both All Quiet on the Western Front. I'll have to pore through the war movie category. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:47, 26 June 2014 (EDT)
If it counts, Deathwatch is a horror film set in the WWI trenches. Not a film, but you also have Blackadder Goes Forth. --commando552 (talk) 19:07, 26 June 2014 (EDT)
I've got The Trench, My Boy Jack, Lawrence of Arabia (a must-have), and it's a bit of a stretch, Doctor Zhivago (but in HD.) I'd include Joyeux Noel and A Very Long Engagement as well, but the former is a day-one incomplete and I'm almost certain the latter is incomplete as well. (And I just realized that David Lean directed three films, Doctor Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, and Ryan's Daughter all set within two or three years of each other.) --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:03, 26 June 2014 (EDT)
I can't believe I forgot Gallipoli. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:28, 27 June 2014 (EDT)
If you wouldn't mind to represent Eastern Front also, I can suggest Crimson Colour of the Snowfall (Bagrovy Tsvet Snegopada) where are good images of Russian infantry in attack in 1916 (especially the first one in Nagant M1895 entry and the second one in Mosin Nagant M1891/30 entry). Opinion on image

http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/File:Vlcsnap-206608.jpg I'm undertaking work on the X-Files and just got into serious messing around with Fast Stone. That said, I just uploaded a new version of that image, I wanted your opinion of it, if it's too big or looks really wonky or anything. I plan to try my own hand at tweaking some images as I go, but I think it looks alright at present, at least as good if not better than what I overwrote. So anyway, what say you? StanTheMan (talk) 18:48, 11 July 2014 (EDT)

Thanks about the image. As for the HD re-release, I had heard about that, but it seems unlikely, or at best, unclear, that it'll be released as such on Netflix, and since that's where I'm doing it all from, well, kinda stuck for the time being anyway. They may still release here in the US and/or on something else, such as Amazon Plus, but again, not sure. The last couple/few seasons are done in a decent widescreen format as it is, it's mainly the earlier seasons that won't be so good. Either way, it would be waiting longer and putting off work on a page/series long overdue for some kind of overhaul, and the wait may amount to nothing. I really wanted to get the series more to standard on the site, and in fact would have started on it earlier if other things didn't come about - The page is kinda hodge-poged with the screencaps, some sections have none at all while on others, even standard definition caps (proper ones) would be considerably better than some of the existing ones on the page anyway. I will leave some of the images as-is, as the ones I'd get wouldn't really be any better. All-told, since I already have to go back through the series to really get it set-up for individual season pages anyway, may as well get those caps now for the sake of completeness. If we do get a better source for caps later on, that can be dealt with then. I'm saving a log of where most of these guns appear in the show, so that'll make things easier for myself or whoever decides to go for the HD stuff down the road. StanTheMan (talk) 23:23, 11 July 2014 (EDT)

The second opinion strikes back

http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/File:CM-S1E04-SIGP226.jpg They released all nine seasons of Criminal Minds on Netflix, and in HD, so I thought I'd take a stab at trying to add an HD image or two for that show here and there. I feel fairly comfortable with Fast Stone at this point but, as before, thought I'd get a second opinion here - if there's any advice or pointers that could be helpful, I'm all ears (or um, eyes, anyway). I kept resolution the same as your caps and I think it looks alright (though I think this image has a scant bit of black at each end.. bah).. I sharpened it a bit but in retrospect I could have been a bit less conservative there. But anyway, what say you? StanTheMan (talk) 15:42, 8 September 2014 (EDT)

Oh yeah, gotta wait for the button to turn silver and say "Playing in HD' and not 'Buffering' or 'NOT playing HD', heh. Usually I don't do HD as it slows things down (at least for viewing - I've had it lose audio/video sync a time or two), but for grabbing images on shows I've seen already, not so big a deal. Anyway, glad it meets your scrutiny, I did think it looked pretty good. Like I said, I might grab a few extra images for CM as I go on since I can do so now - I'll probably just do those in-between all the X-Files stuff. Glad to able to contribute that little bit more. Thanks for the reply. StanTheMan (talk) 16:52, 8 September 2014 (EDT)

The Wolf Among Us

Hey, I was wondering if I could get your help with creating this page. I have a bunch of screencaps of guns in the video game The Wolf Among Us, but I am not the best at identifying them. If I create the page but leave the weapons with generic names (along the lines of "Mary's Revolver"), would you or someone else be able to go through and identify them? Or do I need to get them identified beforehand? Corkeyandpals (talk) 18:25, 26 July 2014 (EDT)

Re: Screen Used Firearms

Glad to help, Ben. MPM2008 took pictures of quite a few screen used guns on a few occasions. There is one thing though, there were two screen used pages one that included the pictures Jimmy uploaded and didn't show the ones I added the category to and one the displays all pictures added which could be reached through the link at the top of the former. I can't see to find it right now.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 22:38, 1 August 2014 (EDT)

Here's the link: [[1]], You get to the the first link whenever you click on Category: Screen Used on one of the images, it also seems to glitch up sometimes, sometimes I only see the ones Jimmy took and other times I see all of them.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 00:25, 2 August 2014 (EDT)

X-Files Images

I guess they've released the new remastered version where you can get it at least, the new screenshots look pretty damn good. Bah, you're making me look bad! Heh, nah, that's great, appreciate the nicer screenshots. Do you just have S2 or can you get others? (If you can get stuff for S1, I can give ya pretty close time marks for images from my log, as I was talking about before, can expedite getting new images at least that little bit anyway) Either way, it's a big help of course so thanks for that. Meantime I have to take a bit of a break on my work for the series - I just moved and don't have my own system online yet, soon as I get it back on the net I can get back to work here. Anyway, thanks again for the new images. StanTheMan (talk) 12:38, 9 August 2014 (EDT)

Oh, ok. Well hell, better than nothing of course. Thanks again. I have a few more caps that I took but didn't finalize and upload, again, I can get you a rough time log for those and you can get a few more caps that much quicker if you like. StanTheMan (talk) 13:09, 10 August 2014 (EDT)
Here's my list of other stuff, these are for caps I already took myself, some are of course uploaded while others I have on my system (some were not cropped/prepared, others were 'finalized' caps ready to upload but didn't have time to upload them). Also want to thank you for getting that template going (I was mainly having trouble with the category setup, it was tough since this is something that has both movies and TV shows). Anyway -
  • E02 'The Host' - Mossberg with ribbed barrel (about 3/4 of the way through the ep)
  • E04 'Sleepless' - M16A1 (About 15:30, also near end), M1911A1/SIG P228 (Both near end), Beretta (about midway)
  • E05 "Duane Barry' - M16-Canada C7/K4B in sniper config (about 8 or so minutes in), MP5A3 replica (about 4/5th in)

  • E10 'Red Museum' - Beretta near start and end of the episode
  • E12 'Aubrey' - P228 at about 24:30, S&W revolver used near end of the episode
  • E13 'Irresistible' - P228 near the end, raid with agents armed with Glocks, Mossbergs and an Ithaca about 3/4 of the way in the ep
  • E14 'Die Hand der Verletzt' - O/U Shotgun near the end of the ep

  • E17 'End Game' - SIG P228 throughout (mostly at start to 1/4 of the way), Bolt sniper rifle (about 1/4 of the way)

Hope any of this helps. StanTheMan (talk) 13:49, 10 August 2014 (EDT)

I only got to Ep17 before I had to start getting on with my moving business last week. BUT, for right now anyway, I can at least watch the remainder of the season and mark out the gun appearances if you like. Might take a day or two but it saves you having to watch and me having to take the screencaps (which is the main thing I can't do right now), and of course frees you up for your other projects/work in the meantime and such. StanTheMan (talk) 12:30, 11 August 2014 (EDT)
Here's the rest. I included a couple in 'Anasazi' even though you already screencapped some stuff from that episode, I guess you can consider those listings optional (Though there is a Beretta image on the page there that could use a new version, and so forth.) Otherwise, again, hope this helps. Appreciate the assistance on these caps, I'm gonna go ahead and set up the extra sections/entries - You put up the caps and I think we'll be golden here and have two seasons locked. Hopefully I can get my desktop back online and carry onward pretty soon.
  • E18 'Fearful Symmetry' - Ithaca Field/Featherlight (22:50, 25:00), Other shotguns (23:00), Tranquilizer pistol (23:10- throughout midway, 39:00)
  • E19 'Dod Kalm' - Beretta 92FS (possible Taurus PT92/Equivalent) (At Start :40)
  • E22 'F. Emasculata' - M16A1s carried by soliders at start (3:00), M16A2-C7/K4B (8:00), SIGs, Glocks, Ithaca 37, Poss Mossberg (16:20, 22:50), Other rifles/shotguns (38:10), S&W Model 36 & P226 closeup (near end, 41:00)
  • E23 'Soft Light' - Beretta 92FS (11:20), SIG P228 held by X (32:10), 1911A1? (35:10)

  • E25 'Anasazi' - MP5A3s (5:50), SIG shot in ballistics lab (27:25), Beretta 92FS (near end, replace exisiting image)

Thanks again for the S2 caps, page looks good. I see you got a few for S1, are you only able to get ones for certain episodes, or can you do the whole season? StanTheMan (talk) 13:22, 15 August 2014 (EDT)
Awesome! I'm quite sure I got everything for S1 already on the page so it's simply just a case of replacing the existing images. Again, I can get you a rough time log for those images to expedite matters. No doubt sounding like a broken record by now but thanks a bunch! BTW, you might have noticed the episode numbers are off on the S1 page - That's intentional; IMDB and the official production info have an odd production number for the first episode, with the actual listed 1x01/S1E01 (On IMDB) starting with the second episode and so forth. I went over this with FCM so I just wanted to note it with you before you edited any more of the numbers. I'll discuss it further with you guys if need be and if I need to I'll change the lot but for now I'd like to keep it the same on the page for the sake of uniformity. Anyway, thanks again. StanTheMan (talk) 18:34, 15 August 2014 (EDT)

S1 images

Damn this section's getting pretty big.. Ahem, anyway, I find that deal with the episode listing a bit unique and neat that way, but it is kinda off-putting and strange too, I grant you that. I was thinking the same thing when I was watching it on NetFlix, but then I saw the original listings on the page that were the way I have it now and wondering what was up with that, and then I found out thats actually how it is - I don't know why it has to be that way, but what can ya do?

That said, here's a list of rough time marks for some stuff in S1 (I'm skipping episodes you've already done/started on for now) -

  • 'Squeeze' - Other handguns/revolvers at about 13:00
  • 'The Jersey Devil' - Bolt Rifles, Rem 870?, Mossberg 500AT (all near the start of ep), Mossberg 500 (37:10), Tranq Rifle (29:15, 38:20), Colt Commando (30:50, 37:10), 1911A1 (30:50)
  • 'Shadows' - Glock 19 (around midway?)
  • 'Ghost in the Machine' - Glock, S&W, Bernadelli Mod 60 (all near end)
  • 'Fallen Angel' - Majority of weapons throughout, main caps near start and midway to 2/3 through ep (rifles, custom SMG, Desert Eagle), Glock 19 (midway to 2/3 and near end), MP5 (midway-around 3/5 and near end), M60 (near end), SP1 rifle also near end (about 4/5?)
  • 'Eve' - Beretta Cheetah (midway), Police Revolver (roughly 2/3 of the way), Rifle (near end)
  • 'Fire' - PPK (near end), Glock (Near end, just before PPK)
  • 'Young at Heart' - PPK (midway), Taurus revolver (near end)
  • 'E.B.E.' - Maverick 88 (near start), Deep Throat pistol - possible Ruger auto (near end), Beretta, Mossbergs, M16s (near end, before Deep Throat pistol)
  • 'Shapes' - O/U Shotgun, Rem 700 (near start), Lever-action rifle, SAA revolver (34:00), Mossberg 500AT (near end)
  • 'Darkness Falls' - Mossberg 500 Field (throughout, main spots 12:30 17:00, 19:00, 21:00, 22:20)
  • 'Born Again' - Police Photo w/ guns (24:00), Ruger Snub (37:50)
  • 'Roland' - Beretta Cheetah (38:00)
  • 'The Erlenmeyer Flask' - Reck Beretta 92FS (near start), other handgun? (33:00)

S2 Images

I'm uploading some images from The X-Files - Season 2 that I have on my hard drive. I avoided uploading them previously because they were capped from Netflix, so the quality is worse than the ones you take. Do you have higher-def versions of any of them? -MT2008 (talk) 19:52, 16 August 2014 (EDT)

Season 3

Took a bit of a break since I was moving and am still on another computer (despite that I've still done some minor edits throughout) but I intend to put Fast Stone on this system and get back into it full-blown starting (hopefully) later today and/or this weekend. Before I proceed though, I'd like to know would it be better for me to just make time listings for you to get caps like I've been doing lately or would you rather me go ahead and get what caps I can for now, in case you can't get HD images right now or otherwise wish to tackle them later on? I realize I'll probably have to gave ya timestamps either way, but if you're at a stop point for this show/project yourself or something (being you can't get more seasons in HD or whatever), I don't mind going ahead and getting at least some kind of images to keep building the pages up and at least marginalize the WIP-status, in which case you can tackle getting the better-quality images at leisure and/or when possible. MT2008 said he had done quite a bit of screencapping for the earlier seasons, so maybe if he still has some caps I can half-inch some images off of him. Whatever works best of course. StanTheMan (talk) 15:12, 5 September 2014 (EDT)

Very well, I'll get back on it and carry on then. As I said, hopefully I can collaborate with MT2008 on some of it and so on. Thanks for the reply and thanks once more for all the help thus far. StanTheMan (talk) 22:21, 5 September 2014 (EDT)

RE: Captain America The Winter Soldier

I've been finding a lot of methods in the digital releases that allows me to screencap them without the digital copyright limitations kicking in. For one of them, most digital download providers have a video player option where you can see the video's native resolution and when you open the file, it automatically opens it at its native resolution where you can then stretch or decrease in size depending on the screen resolution. At that point, I use tools such as Snipping Tool and Fraps (although it is not very reliable at times) to capture the entire screen with some user input on how much of the screen I want to capture. Then, I resize them to its "native" resolution and stretch them slightly in a way that's not noticeable to keep it at a good reasonable size that is still good quality. There's a lot of methods of bypassing them, but these are one of them. As a matter of fact, iTunes released Captain America: The Winter Soldier a couple of hours earlier than normal for some reason. Anyway, if there are issues regarding the digital releases, I could stop and/or remove the screenshots until the Blu Ray and DVD copies are actually released. - Kenny99 (talk) 19:35, 19 August 2014 (EDT)

Well, some digital releases offer 1080p actually, but I just have a preference for 720p. Even though digital releases are technically official releases, I would agree that it is best to wait for DVD and Blu Ray releases since I don't know if Imfdb has any special rules regarding those (they mentioned clearly that they want official DVD and Blu Ray releases in the U.S.). - Kenny99 (talk) 19:48, 19 August 2014 (EDT)

VJ Day Featured

VJ Day in the US is September 2nd. What do you think about a featured pages set to commemorate it? --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:35, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

There's also The Great Raid, Windtalkers, Sands of Iwo Jima, either The Thin Red Line, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Midway, MacArthur, Back to Bataan and They Were Expendable. I'm not sure if you want to include foreign films, like Kokoda and maybe Letters from Iwo Jima. If you want to include video games, you can also include Call of Duty: World at War, and Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault. --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:23, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

NCIS

My screenshots are usually from a HD source but for some reason the dimensions change from 1280px to 1010px or lower and I don't know why. Maybe it is because my DVDs are region 2 but I'am not sure. I use the VLC program that is recommended but they are still coming out as 1010px. I will try to find a new program to use to take screenshots but I dont know why my shots are 1010px this is why I didnt respond to your last inquiry. --Gunfan2818 (talk)

- I use the screenshot capture button on the VLC program but the shots are still coming out as 1024PxX. --Gunfan2818 (talk)

Killer Elite

Is there any reason why you reverted my edit? The texts that I removed from the pictures were literally copy-pastes from the weapons' descriptions in the article, and thus extremely redundant. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 19:46, 27 September 2014 (EDT)

Lol it was just for this... Okay, I've changed it. But why use rollback? Isn't this feature primarily used for vandalism? --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 20:03, 27 September 2014 (EDT)

Criminal Minds Glock image change

I reverted edits that changed the gun image for Shemar Moore's (Morgan's) Glock on several of the season pages. All except one of the edits were done by another user, but I just realized one of them was done by you, so I probably should address this and maybe see if I need to revert those edits back. The gun image that replaced the existing one isn't correct in regards to the gun on the show (the attachment isn't the right brand nor even looks close), but I see it is one of MPMs and so I now wonder if it's just to replace the existing image (which admittedly seems to have been uploaded by a near-anon user and could possibly be jacked) with a 'safe' picture. I would like to keep a more accurate gun image in regards to the actual show's weapon if possible, and if there's no problem using the other image I'd like it to remain - but I understand we should always use approved pictures when possible, and so if it's that, and/or there is an issue with the other gun image, I'll change it back. And so, anyway, wanted go over this with you before anything else (should have done that beforehand, but as I said, didn't realize you were behind one of the edits right away). StanTheMan (talk) 21:26, 10 December 2014 (EST)

Saw you got another image (though it looks like a cleanup of the existing one), looks good in any event. I'll go ahead and switch the ones on the other pages if that's alright. I moved the previous image to the Glock talk page, though, as I think it could be useful for other pages. StanTheMan (talk) 21:50, 17 December 2014 (EST)

Book of Eli

HI there :D Just out of curiosity, was it you who added the additional pic of the HK45 on the Book of Eli page. It's the exact same gun. And the only point is that someone else took a photo of it. I have the FLIP side photographed if you wanted a pic of it. If it was better than the existing photograph, I'd approve and remove my pic, but it's not. :D Thanks MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 22:17, 12 December 2014 (EST)

The recent edit on that page reminded me that I made some timestamps for some extra stuff when I re-watched it a couple weeks ago, if you still have that one available, I'll give you the info and you can get those extra screencaps at your leisure. I'd do 'em myself (in fact I might have a couple of my own) but I don't have the Blu-Ray/HD so that explains why I'm asking you. There's a quite a few things, both new stuff and a couple extra images of some existing entries (one of them was the Redeye launcher that just got listed, though I thought it was a SMAW at first).
