During the Apollo 17 mission, mankind discovers ancient technology which allows man to travel in space. With this discovery, man began to migrate to Mars as a settlement. However, with the discovery of more powerful ancient technology on Mars, the men settling on Mars seceded themselves from Earth and proclaimed themselves as the Ver Empire, keeping all the Martian technology to themselves. After a declaration of war by the Ver Empire against Earth ends with the alien technology discovered on the Moon destroyed, along with most of the Moon in the process, a cease-fire was declared. In 2014, Princess Asseylum Vers Allusia from the Ver Empire is sent to Earth in a peace mission. However after an assassination attempt was carried out and Asseylum believed to be dead, the 37 Martian Vers Orbital Knights of the Ver Empire launch a full-out attack on Earth in retaliation. The story revolves around a boy named Inaho Kaizuka, who with his classmates, must survive the Martian assault waves by using Kataphrakts, military mechas designed to combat this scenario. But with the humans already outgunned and decimated by the Martian's advancedand nigh-invincible Kataphrakts, Inaho and mankind's chances in this war is slim.
