8 Million Ways to Die is a 1986 crime thriller directed by Hal Ashby and starring Jeff Bridges as LA Sheriff's Deputy Matthew "Matt" Scudder who lost his career and family due to alcohol.

Matt Scudder's (Jeff Bridges) service sidearm is a Smith & Wesson Model 66 with 4" barrel. Chance (Randy Brooks) carries a snub nose Model 66.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
Scudder's parthner Joe Durkin (Vyto Ruginis) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 19 in the opening scene. Chance's bodyguard (Tommy "Tiny" Lister) is also seen with a supposed Model 19.
Unidentified snub nose revolver
Scudder's backup weapon is a snub nose revolver. It lacks a front sight.

In the final scene Angel Maldonado (Andy Garcia) fires a pistol. It is seen very poor but its shape resembles Walther PPK.

During the encounter in warehouse Mundo (Fred Asparagus), another Maldonado's henchman, holds Sarah at gunpoint with a double barreled shotgun with sawn-off buttstock.
